Kudos is a different kind of simulation game than you might expect. You chose an avatar and guide them through daily descisions that effect their personality, career, and relationships with others. From shopping, jogging, to eating out at trendy restaurants, you guide your sim through life into what you would hope will be a fulfilling, happy existence.

Being a Sims fan, I had expected this game to be along a similiar level. The gameplay is limited, having only a few correct choices that would truly help you advance. You can take classes to better your career, and have a variety of options to choose from when you want to network or improve relationships. However realistically, you make a very minimal amount of money daily, therefore limiting the amount of activites you can actually partake in. It is slow going to get degrees, and there is a very fine line between balancing work, career, and relationships. If you focus on one thing too much (even for just a few days), it can have dramatic results on the others (which is generally not good).

The game itself is very addicting. I have found myself compelled to play endlessly to work myself up corporate ladders, and it is rewarding to develop a tight circle of friends.

Overall, the game can be fun, though redundant after awhile. If you want something a little different than the average "tycoon" game, this would definitely be one to try out.

I really wanted to like this game. The concept sounds great - start from scratch and create your own life. The reality of this game is that you start in a horribly depressing position in life - a waiter with no education beyond high school and no marketable skills. The problem with the game is that the things you can change in your life that matter - your attitude, your willingness to sacrifice some things for others - are really not available to you to change. For example, the game plays out on a daily basis. Each day, the story line for my character would be something like this: "You awake to horrible weather and walk three miles to work in the rain. You have a bad day at work and you are in a bad mood." As a normally upbeat and positive person, I hated that the game told me I was in a bad mood. Why not let me choose my mood? After working each day, the game lets you pick one thing to do (two on the weekends), either by yourself or with a group. There are very few choices, and unless you choose to clean your apartment or jog, you end up fat and sick. My character took off three days from work because she had a cold - I never ever would have chosen that! The group activities are all very pricey, as are the adult ed and evening courses. You must select group activities that your friends like to do, and my assigned friends were not interested in most of the choices available. If you choose to go to school, you have no money to socialize, and you end up losing most of your friends. In reality, you would find free or inexpensive things to do with your friends. After several virtual weeks of this, I wanted to kill my character. It was all so depressing and boring, and I just could not stand it. The one good thing that came from this game is that I really appreciate my real life so much more now. I ended up deleting the game from my laptop. You might like it if your real life is worse than the virtual one I just described.

The days on this game are pretty repetitive, but when you start making accomplishments with your work and schooling and are able to spend more time with friends because you make more money and are happy with your life it becomes a lot more fun.

I love this game but the side is... I guess blurry? and if you have multiple people, once the game is finished for one of them, it ends the game for everyone.

This is a highly addictive and fun game. It's like experiencing life with the exception of having some control over your outcome. You pick your character and away you go. Starting out at the bottom you can work your way up to the top or just keep a close association of friends and a more casual existence. I liked the fact that its a really good casual game that you can play with many different outcomes. Be a chef, a doctor, a lawyer, a scientist, have a dog or a cat with many friends or just a few ... it's up to you!

This is the most depressing sim like game I've ever played. Basically, you either have to spend money (which you don't have) to spend time with friends or you will be disowned by them and unhappy. In real life, I almost never spend money and have a great social life and am happy. Not to mention the never ending cleaning your house you need to do in this game. Hands down, if you want a sim like game get the Sims (2 or 3), don't waste your time or money on this one!
