1.0 out of 5 stars Destination Anywhere: The Film
Low budget short film with known stars to support Bon Jovi. Didn't make complete sense but if you a Bon Jovi fan it was interesting to see his acting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly effective concept short film/music video!, October 23, 2000
Destination Anywhere, which as a matter of fact is also a full-length LP by the artist Jon Bon Jovi. Get's transfered from the concept of the album to the big screen. The idea behind this film, which works like a long music video is the fact that Jon and his wife, are in mourning over their child who was killed in an accident. As a result, both characters lives are full of confusion, despair and heartache. Jon seems like a lost soul in this film, he still hasn't gotten over the death of his child. As a result he enters a world of depression. His wife, played by Demi Moore is equally as frustrated and confused as Jon. The movie shows their pain and how they are still trying to cope with the loss. I was surprised at just how touching this film was, I was a little teary eyed when it was over. I felt for all the characters, all the characters seemed real to me. Not bad I say for a small little film like this. This film shows the world that Jon Bon Jovi is indeed a great actor, and a multi-talented entertainer. Demi Moore almost steals the show, when on screen she sucks you in with her beauty and her emotions. This is a must see for fans of both actors, especially Bon Jovi fans. I find that this film gives new meaning to Jon's solo LP, Destination Anywhere. I now appreciate it more and understand it better thanks to this film. While a little on the depressing side, Destination Anywhere still manages to be engaging and worthwhile on the strengths of it's focused stars. Also stars Kevin Bacon, Annabella Sciorria, Whoopie Goldberg.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jon Bon Jovi: a true talent, September 9, 1999
By A Customer
Instead of the same old, same old video promotion, Jon Bon Jovi did something different--a movie was written based on the songs on his solo album. It is the perfect melding of his songwriting and acting talent. The stellar cast involved--Whoopi Goldburg, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Annabella Sciorra--speaks volumes about the quality of the script. This drama centered on the real life murder of child (inspiration for the song August 7, 4:15) will touch your heart. You do not have to own the album to appreciate the film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty d@mn impressive, JB, December 23, 2001
By A Customer
This movie is about 45 minutes long, with some music videos preceeding. It was a very interesting idea to build this short film around the songs on Jon's solo album, Destination Anywhere, plus he gets the chance to act, WHICH BY THE WAY HE IS INCREDIBLE IN!! Normally the history of musicians-turned-actors is a pretty pitiful one, however Bon Jovi's performance seems like he's been a professional actor for years. The script is excellent, not a trace of phoniess anywhere, and the photography is extremely well done too. You really get a feel for the mood of they story they're telling. Its a shame this wasn't released more commercially, if it were longer I think it would be a hit.
The all-star cast doesn't hurt either - Bon Jovi, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Whoopi Goldberg, and Annabella Sciorra each did a great job, and I cant wait to see more from this director as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars not what i expected, October 18, 2000

it is true... when i first brought destination anywhere home and started watching it, it wasn't exactly what i was expecting. i thought it was another video cassette with music videos on it. but what i found had a lot more depth to it. we all know jon bon jovi as a singer of a rock and roll band. what the rest of the world needs to see is how much more jon can do. in my opinion, this video introduced us to the rising star jon is today as an actor. i think it is one of the best videos jon has released. i hope you will consider buying it and watching it. i'm glad i did.

5.0 out of 5 stars An anology to all the Jovi songs you could think of., November 24, 1998
This video wasn't just for his latest solo album. It was an anology of all the songs and lives that he created throughout the years of recordings. It's the story of Tommy and Gina, it's the next stage from the song "Living on a Prayer" and "Lie to Me", it's a personal note of Jon's own experiences and it's the best video clip that i have ever watched. He had the BEST crew in, Demi, and Whoopie - such a dag that women. A great big thumbs up for something that was different from all the other stuff they did. I hope that they never regret the risk of it, it turned out to be fantastic. Recomend it to any Bon Jovi fan.

(REAL NAME)
This film was done around the time of Jon's solo record "Destination Anywhere". The CD itself refelcts some changes going on in Jon's life, a very personal reflection. The DVD tells a fictional story. Gives you something to think about.
I liked it very much & would recommend this to all Jon Bon Jovi fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Destination anywhere, October 21, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Seems the story was a bit forced to track with the album. But, I enjoyed seeing some of his old costars like Annabella Sciorra, who I thought was a perfect match for JBJ in Little City. Also, the scene in the cab with Whoopie Goldberg was fun. Very depressing overall.
