A Destiny Foretold grabs the reader firmly by the arm from the first sentence and refuses to let go even after the last period has been typed. Neo Franco Cantu uses a mixture of graphically vivid imagery, meticulously reserached history, and equally admirable and loathable characters to create a spellbinding tale of Antonio's Forest Gump-like appearances in war-torn Mexico.

This story gave me a fascinating insight into a period that most Americans know little about. Fast paced and interesting. Characters were either loveable or despicable, no in-between. Awaiting Mr. Cantu's next novel.
