Gripping from the start!!,
By Rod (L.A.. California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Destiny (Paperback)
L.C. Martin's Destiny, gripped me from cover to cover. Her characters were so real, and I totally identified with Jason, he was likeable, yet someone you might not want to get hooked up with, and the romance was absolutely sizzling. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn't want it to end. I'm So glad I picked up her book at the LAX Airport, because I found a fresh new favorite writer. Keep at it, L.C.! I'll be looking for your next one!

A great read. L.C. Martin has mixed genres in a very effective way and its hard to put the book down once you start.Jason and Nikki will be your favorite people in a short time once you begin to read. A well written book with a nice story line. I'm glad I got to read it.

Suspense and sizzling romance!,
By Randy (South Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Destiny (Paperback)
I love a good romance with lots of intrigue and L.C. Martin has found the right combination in Destiny! The twists and turns kept me reading well into the night. And the characters with all their fobiles and inner turmoil were pretty likable. The setting was well described and made me wanna sit back and have a margarita and listen to a couple of Buffet tunes! I'm a new fan of L.C.'s but will keep on looking for more of her books.

This story was well-written, well-plotted, and the romance made my toes tingle. Jason and Nikki make a dynamic, sizzling couple while trying to overcome all the obstacles and danger thrown their way. Read it from cover to cover in ONE night. I just couldn't put it down! Great job, L.C.

terrific romantic suspense,
This review is from: Destiny (Paperback)
Nikki Saunders looks forward to her Key West vacation after working very hard at her job and struggling to end her relationship with a married man. She and her pal Leila drive through the Keys to their destination where they meet two Philadelphians. Nikki cannot stand the pushy guy pursuing her, but Leila and Len Santoro hit it off.Philadelphia realtor Jason McKenzie regrets not being able to go with his pals to Key West, but has to complete a deal involving a local mobster first. Len tells Jason about Nikki, and he calls her up, shyly asking to meet her. She reluctantly agrees that she might see him when she is in New York on business. Nikki and Jason meet and immediately are attracted to one another. However, the real estate deal for the mob failed to materialize. Not only is Jason in trouble, but anyone close to him is in peril including the woman he now loves. This romantic suspense will thrill readers because Juanita McClellan takes the time to enable the audience to understand, appreciate, and care about her key cast members. This includes important secondary characters. The lead protagonists will delight sub-genre fans as they struggle with other relationships (not just romantic ones). The story line shifts into gear once Jason and Nikki come together and never slows down until the climax. Harriet Klausner

DESTINY,
By JIM A MCCLELLAN (HOUSTON, TX United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Destiny (Paperback)
ALTHOUGH I'M NOT NORMALLY A READER OF THIS GENRE, I WAS CAPTIVATED BY MARTIN'S FIRST WORK, "CAUGHT IN THE RAIN" AND WANTED TO SEE IF HER ABILITY TO BUILD SUSPENSE WHILE INTERTWINING ROMANCE COULD CONTINUE IN THIS PIECE.NOT ONLY HAS L. C. BUILT A WONDERFULLY INTRICATE STORY AROUND A INTRUIGING CAST OF CHARACTERS, SHE HAS DONE IT WITH A STYLE ALL OF HER OWN. THE VARIETY OF GEOGRAPHICAL DESTINATIONS CAPTURED MY SENSES AS HER TECHNIQUE OF DESCRIBING THE TROPICAL SCENES OF THE SULTRY BEACHES IN MIAMI AND THE INTENSITY OF NEW YORK CITY MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS A PART OF THE SCENE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO LIKES A LITTLE BIT OF ROMANCE WITH THEIR SUSPENSE. YOU JUST CAN'T PUT IT DOWN UNTIL YOU KNOW THEIR ULTIMATE "DESTINY"!!!!!!!!!
