5.0 out of 5 stars Stories to ponder...lives to be inspired by
The stories on this CD are inspiring and informative. From the man who would found the first generator, to Florence Nightengale, it is really clear from these examples that everyone comes upon their destiny differently. The common thread between these biographical sketches is the willingness on the part of each person to actually step into his or her destiny once it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Truly terrible.
No wonder nobody has bothered to revue this audio. I liked the title and gave it a go, but I could barely listen, it irritated me so much! No wonder nobody has bothered to revue this audio. I liked the title and gave it a go, but I could barely listen, it irritated me so much! I'm sure this guy means well and perhaps he is much better in real life, but this recording comes across as so heavy, dull, 'precious', sombre, serious and humorless. I found it pretentious rather than poetic, and the reading over the dire cello playing is truly awful. Really, soul searching doesnt have to be full of longing and pain and solemnity. Laughter and joy are key to the soul, but none of that are to be found in this audio.
In addition, the examples given of people who found their soul destiny are exceptional (Rumi, Mother Theresa, Florence Nightingale, etc) The average person needs examples they can relate to.
The 'excercises' or techniques were few and not particulary new or helpful. One would do better just to sit quietly with oneself and pay attention to ones breathing.
All in all, the sort of syrupy stuff that gets New Age a bad name!

The stories on this CD are inspiring and informative. From the man who would found the first generator, to Florence Nightengale, it is really clear from these examples that everyone comes upon their destiny differently. The common thread between these biographical sketches is the willingness on the part of each person to actually step into his or her destiny once it presented itself. I listened to this CD several times before lending it to a friend. It is poetically told, with beautiful lines of cello accenting the stories.
