Book Description

June 1, 2000

Use the ancient Indian art of Vedic palmistry as a guide to self-understanding and the creation of your destiny.

• Learn to influence your future to bring forth the best qualities of heart, mind, and soul.

• Read a record of the past, a print of the present, and guidance for the future in the ever changing interplay of lines.

• Become aware of your innate tendencies and personality type from the lines in your palms.

• Includes a palm print kit.

One's destiny isn't carved in stone. Rather than predicting a set future, Vedic palmistry shows us how to take active steps to influence and improve our destinies once we have gained better self-understanding.

Using dozens of illustrations and examples of actual palm prints, Birla demonstrates how our less dominant hand reflects all that we have inherited from the past--old behavior patterns, thoughts, desires, and attitudes--while our dominant hand (the hand we write with) reflects our resolve to change for the better. By comparing both hands we gain an understanding of where we are coming from and where we are headed. As we make positive changes in our lives, the lines on our palms will actually change to reflect our progress. An inked acetate palm printer is included with the book so that you can make an accurate imprint of your palms, allowing you to check back and see the changes reflected in your hands as you transform your destiny.

NEW AGE / PALMISTRY

Ghanshyam Singh Birla, who brought a new level of mastery to the understanding of the heart line and love relationships in Love in the Palm of Your Hand, now broadens his focus to include the interplay of all the major and minor lines, allowing you to use Vedic palmistry to creatively influence your destiny. Destiny is not carved in stone. Rather than predicting a set future, palmistry provides better self-understanding which allows you to take active steps to improve your life.

Using dozens of illustrations and examples of actual palm prints, Birla demonstrates how your less dominant hand reflects all that you have inherited from the past--old behavior patterns, thoughts, desires, and attitudes--while your dominant hand (the one you write with) reflects your positive resolve to change for the better. By comparing both hands you gain an understanding of where you are coming from and where you are headed. As you make positive changes in your life, the lines on your palms will actually change to reflect your progress. An inked acetate palm printer is included with the book for making accurate palm imprints, allowing you to check back and see the changes reflected in your hands as you transform your destiny.

5.0 out of 5 stars book with universal appeal, October 10, 2000

This review is from: Destiny in the Palm of Your Hand: Creating Your Future through Vedic Palmistry (Paperback)
I have read this book at least three times. Each time I have been impressed by clarity, comprehensiveness and simple language of the content. It is the only book I have ever read that uses Palmistry as a tool for Self Understanding and personal growth. I liked the analogies, the simple diagrams to explain the concepts. It was helpful to see suggestions and recommendations about how to bring about positive changes. It made me realize the impact of present thinking and behavior on my future and how only I was responsible for it all. It was impressive the way Dr. Birla had integrated, Gunas, Elements, Levels of Consciousness and Laterality of Brain with Palmistry.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for any spiritual seeker!!!, January 22, 2011

This review is from: Destiny in the Palm of Your Hand: Creating Your Future through Vedic Palmistry (Paperback)
This is one of the best books on Vedic Palmistry I have read. The author has very deep understanding of the vedic philosophy and the science of palmistry and yet it is presented with a very modern frame of mind. Illustrations are very clear and precise. Foreward by David Frawley - says a lot about the quality of the book. I love every page but my favorite is how each feature of the hand is explained in terms of the 3 levels of consciousness and sattva, rajas and tamas. It is only 104 pages, so no useless fluff either. Hard to put it down once you start reading it. Even if you are not interested in palmistry but are a spiritual seeker, you will not regret you bought this book.
