Very early wailers recordings,
This review is from: Destiny: Rare Ska Sides From Studio 1 (Audio CD)
The destiny tracks are some of the very first tracks done by Bob marley & the wailers. Most of the tracks were produced by the great Clement Dodd. Although most of the tracks have a ska vibe but there are also quite a few doo wop songs, even a couple of pop tunes on this CD. There's even a version of white christmas. :) Most newbie BMW (Bob Marley & the Wailers) may want to pass on this one because it is very raw and not as polished as their later efforts but serious wailer fans will definetely appreciate these early sessions. standout tracks are Destiny, Don't ever leave me, I stand Predominant, Where is my mother, treat me good and jerk in time.

The Best Bob Marley,
By Roland (Idaho) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Destiny: Rare Ska Sides From Studio 1 (Audio CD)
The early Bob Marley recordings are by far the best he ever recorded in his entire life. This album has the BEST Bob Marley ever recorded!! I frankly don't even like any of his later stuff anymore compared to this music!! If you are a REAL Bob Marley fan, you will find this album to the the most finest music you have heard. If you are a wannabe however, you may want to just stick with his later recordings. Its really up to you isn't it?

I am a Bob Marley fan, a Peter Tosh fan and a Bunny Wailer fan. Put them together as teenagers singing their hearts out to make their career move, and you get songs like "Don't Ever Leave Me" and "I Stand Predominant". The Wailers went on to move the world with their music and even later, a message that would rise and spread across the world unlike any island music had done before. Don't miss out on this oppurtunity to experience the raw nature and oldie feel of Bob Marley before he was singing reggae. This is mainly Ska (Late 50's dance music) and Doo-Wop, a must have album for Bob Marley and early island music fans!!!
