5.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoying this series
I loved watching a 21st century woman get thrown back in time to medieval Scotland. Plus I got to see all the characters from Fates Monolith again. Again, this story has passion in abundance. HOT, very HOT!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars frustrated
really liked the first book, but i am only 10% through this one and i am getting more and more frustrated as i read...no, story line is riding a long (even if it's a little bumpy)...my issue is that there have been 14 pages out of the 10% that i move my kindle to the next screen and the rest of the sentence is missing
example: location 696 of 7036, last line: amanda...

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better than the First, September 10, 2009
This review is from: Destiny's Denial (Paperback)
This book beat the first! Wow, very happy I kept on reading. Honestly, wasn't sure who I was rooting for in this one but I became glued, modern girl, medieval Scot, toss of the coin. Best thing this time, I traveled more throughout medieval Scotland, revisited alot. Two thumbs up, had fun.

T.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another good one, January 14, 2012

Really LOVED this story! Wizards, magic, drama, time travel. All of the stories in this series work well together. This one had the mix of modern with past. Some sad parts too. Still, the romance is smoking sexy. The second romance between Caitlin's brother and Catherine is a nice touch.

I enjoyed this tale! I love time travels, and I found the spin that Ms. Purington took to be fascinating. From the beginning the book hooks you and pulls you in. I can't wait to read more of this series!

um, huh??? leaning against the wall and WHAT????

i overlooked the few times the missing sentences/words happened in the first book, but this is getting ridiculous - i certainly hope it does not continue this way!!!!!

as of right now i am giving 3 stars because i HAVE to rate it in order to post my review and i REALLY want to like this one as much as the first...not sure what my final rate will be...

I was unsure when I started this because it was modern day where all the rest aren't, but it proved to be another really great read. Though it has a more modern take the characters kept me glued. I met alot of the old characters through this and still traveled back in time. Definitely reading the last in the series. Will comment if I like it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, October 11, 2011

Wow... just wow. I almost never write reviews, but all three of the books in this series were excellent. I would advise starting with the first and moving through them in order, as part of the pleasure is being able to follow the main characters. With each one I started, I couldn't put it down until I had finished... looking forward to more from this author!

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first but still left questions (again), March 6, 2010

This review is from: Destiny's Denial (Paperback)
I reviewed the first book (Fate's Monolith) and while I loved the story, I felt the author made some major missteps. This second one is better (although the lovemaking scenes still leave much to be desired), but the story still had some disconnects for me, some not believable parts, and left unanswered questions...like what happened to Hugh? And, why did it take Ferchar 4 months to return to her? And why did Marie tell her they couldn't be together and then they are? Perhaps these questions will be answered in the third book but I prefer a trilogy where each story stands on its own.

4.0 out of 5 stars A frustrating, yet gripping, read that I'm glad I haven't missed., January 7, 2012
Having found the prologue to the series, and Book 1, a bit confusing I'm glad to say I enjoyed this second of the series much more. Now more used to Sky Purington's style of writing, and to the whole concept of the time travel of the trilogy, I launched into this one and didn't want to put it down. I really had to find out what the hero, Ferchar, was going to do next. For me he's a love him or hate him sort of guy. Caitlin is a very determined young lady-again you really like her or you find her too demanding. There are secrets still to be discovered in Book 3 and I can't wait to read the last one now. (Adlin, the wizard, is gelling more for me now and I do wonder how he will feature next!)
