This review is from: Destiny's Will (Mass Market Paperback)
This novel was actually written by Elizabeth Ann Michaels.
The year is 1811. Cara Fairchild is the impoverished orphaned daughter of a Lord. Her father has left his estate to Justin Reynolds, the Earl of Ellsworth. Justin has decided that he can't just abandon the late earl's only child and decrees that Cara should go to live with his grandmother. Thus pronouncing this edit, Justin prepares to sail to America. Cara on the otherhand decides she will not have her life dictated by some Earl that she has never met. She decides to sail to America to join her cousins. Naturally, she ships out on Justin's ship. This story was actually a pretty good story about a strong heroine and a hero. Their story - naive young girl and clueless male - evolves amid misundertandings and turmoil and makes for an enjoyable read. |
