4.0 out of 5 stars Muy diferente y bueno

2.0 out of 5 stars Terrific music but lousy singing
I listened to this CD for the first time a few days ago. I loved the music and the instrumental rhythms were fantastic. HOWEVER, the singing was awful and amateurish and a terrible disappointment. Because of that I don't think I will listen to this CD again. If the singer(s) were replaced it would be a wonderful album. I'm just so surprised that the singer has the...

Not too crazy about 2 or 3 songs in particular Jardin del Olvido and Ke Pasa, appears as if they ran out of ideas with those two but over all the rest of the album is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly enjoyable CD!, October 12, 2003

A bit of tradition intertwined with popular rock style, is what characterizes this CD. It is modern and hip, and includes lirics that go far from being common. Although the interpreters are young, they have managed to create great music with the spirit of the flamenco background. I should also suggest, their first album "Estopa", and their extended version of Destrangis - Which is called "Mas de estrangis", that includes songs that where performed in concert. By the way, does Sinatra ring a bell?

5.0 out of 5 stars Viva España!! Viva Estopa!!, April 26, 2002

What a great cd. Estopa combines Flamenco with Pop and get a style of their own which is not only unique, but also fun to listen to. This is the second album for young Spanish group. Although they aren't well known yet, they definitely have stardom potential in the U.S. I first heard a song of theirs while I was in the media department of my local "Best Buy". Their song "Calorro" was playing. I was hooked from that moment on, but had a tough time locating the cd. They have not been marketed as well as one would hope. Latinos have made a big splash in the American Music Industry and this group has the potential to have the type of following "Shakira" or "Mark Anthony" has. The latest cd available has a-lot of potential and should have the same type of success as their first one. I'm looking forward to their next cd release. I can honestly say I hooked on Estopa!

4.0 out of 5 stars Some good songs, May 18, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Destrangis (Audio CD)
There are a few very good songs, but as others have mentioned there are a few that aren't all that impressive. A solid disc for sure and I'm happy with the purchase. But I would recommend "Estopa" and "La Calle es Tuya?" over this disc. I think that this is better than Allenrok and about even with Voces de Ultrarumba.

I'm just so surprised that the singer has the audacity to sing in public and apparently get away with it.
