Great album.,

I love this album. I'm not straight edge and I'm not vegan. I'm a Libertarian who supports your right to eat whatever you want and take whatever drugs you want. I also support your right to abstain from those things too if you choose. Guess what? You don't have to be vegan or straight edge to enjoy this. People get too caught up in the politics and beliefs of this band and forget to focus on whats important... the music.
The riffs are heavy as hell and the vocals are brutal. The bass and the drums pound away to make a great rhythm section on here. The guitars don't wander too far off from the rhythmic foundations of the songs which makes for a great heavy and primitive sounding texture to the music. The subtle interplay between the guitars works great for these guys too. A "less is more" approach. The appeal transcends genres. For instance, I LOVE doom metal, a genre that generally praises drug use, unlike Earth Crisis. HOWEVER, they do have something in common. Slow, heavy sludge filled riffs played by down-tuned guitars, which I love. The point is good heavy rock music is good heavy rock music. I don't care what kind of tattoos or beliefs these guys have. They're true to themselves and their music and it shows through on the quality of this release. It's awesome.

This was my very first introduction into the "hardcore" music scene. I was awed by the intensity of the music on this recording and the passion behind the vocals of Karl Buechner. You can just hear the longing in his voice. The lyrics are also quite powerful indeed. They definitely make one think about what is happening in the world today. A powerful, pounding piece of music. Incredible! --Kelly Magovern

saw these guys last night in sydney and boy what a show that was. Even though they only played for 45 minutes it was still excellent, during the set i was right in front and while the singer Karl step on the metal that was separating the audience from the band i grabbed his leg ha ha but what was really cool was after that he shook my hand anyway this their debut album is their best release so pick up a copy of it.
