Product Description

Crime Scene tech Frank Brata digs deep and finds the courage to ask his colleague, Sarah, out for coffee after work. Their good time turns into a nightmare when Frank wakes up the next morning covered in blood, with no recollection of what happened, and Sarah’s body floating in the tub. Determined not to go to prison for a crime he’s horrified he may have committed, he scrubs the crime scene clean, and, tormented by text messages from the real killer, begins a race against the clock to solve the murder before his own co-workers, his own friends, solve it first, and find him guilty.

Billionaire Richard Tate is the toast of the town, loved by everyone but his wife. His plans for a romantic weekend with his mistress ends in disaster, waking the next morning to find her murdered, floating in the tub. After fleeing in a panic, he returns to find the hotel room spotless, and no sign of the body. An envelope found at the scene contains not the expected blackmail note, but something far more sinister.

Two murders, with the same MO, targeting both the average working man, and the richest of society, sets a rejuvenated Detective Shakespeare, and his new reluctant partner, Amber Trace, after a murderer whose motivations are a mystery, and who appears to be aided by the very people they would least expect—their own.

Tick Tock, Book #2 in the internationally bestselling Detective Shakespeare Mysteries series, picks up right where Depraved Difference left off, and asks a simple question: What would you do? What would you do if you couldn’t prove your innocence, but knew you weren’t capable of murder? Would you hide the very evidence that might clear you, or would you turn yourself in and trust the system to work?

From the internationally bestselling author of The Protocol and Brass Monkey comes the highly anticipated sequel to the smash hit Depraved Difference, Tick Tock. Filled with heart pounding terror and suspense, along with a healthy dose of humor, Tick Tock ‘s twists will keep you guessing right up to the terrifying end.

Tick Tock is a full-length novel at 82,000 words, or 263 trade paperback pages.

This review is from: Tick Tock (A Detective Shakespeare Mystery, Book #2) (Detective Shakespeare Mysteries) (Kindle Edition)
Tick Tock by J. Robert Kennedy is the second book in the Detective Shakespeare series. Depraved Difference was the opening book in this
series and you should try to read it first, since it will set up the principal characters for you.

In Depraved Difference we met and liked Detective Shakespeare; in Tick Tock you will learn to admire him. He is coming out of a very long funk
and working hard again as the professional law enforcement officer he once was. This book has so many twist and turns you find yourself
wondering just what the next page will reveal.

This was a very hard book for me to put down. As I watched the pages flow by I was both saddened and happy.
I was happy the ending was near but saddened that the book would be finished. Mr. Kennedy I want more !!!

Enjoy,
Boston Bob

5.0 out of 5 stars Another fantastic read !, January 7, 2012
This review is from: Tick Tock (A Detective Shakespeare Mystery, Book #2) (Detective Shakespeare Mysteries) (Kindle Edition)
Wow... I was so excited to order Tick Tock (sequel to the smash hit Depraved Difference) ! I was not disappointed.

I was drawn into the story immediately, the author knows how to write a tight plot and his characters seem to come alive on the pages,

The suspense is sustained throughout this fast-paced, gritty story with several surprise twists. I was on the edge of my seat reading this and could not put it down !

Dont hesitate...this is so worth the money and if you havent read 'Depraved Difference' your missing a real treat !

More About the Author

J. Robert Kennedy always had a strong interest in creative writing, however managing a successful business and having a family took priority to realizing that dream until recently. He returned to writing as a means of relaxation, and his first effort, a short story, was immediately accepted for publication. Several more professional writing credits followed, including the acceptance of his first novel, The Protocol, by the first publisher he sent it to. This was followed by the international bestseller, Depraved Difference, and Brass Monkey, a sequel to The Protocol.

Robert was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and grew up an Air Force brat, living in Halifax and Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Goose Bay, Labrador, Lahr and Baden, Germany, and finally Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He attended university in Waterloo and settled in Ottawa, Ontario. Robert has a wife and daughter, and is hard at work on his next novel.
