About the Artist
George Dickens started singing with his three sons Anthony, George Jr. and Bruce when they were little boys. In the early 90's, they decided to call themselves George Dickens and The Gospel Disciples of Oak City, North Carolina. As time passed, they had an uncle and two cousins to join the group. George Dickens and The Gospel Disciples have performed with various well-known gospel artists. They also placed third in the "5th Annual Fall Gospel Classic" held in Rocky Mount, North Carolina by Luther Barnes. The group independently recorded their first CD in 1994; their second release came out in 1998 and they also released a Christmas CD in 2000. Right now, they are in the process of releasing their latest CD with S.I.C. Records.

George Dickens, Sr.- Lead Vocalist
Anthony Dickens- Lead & background vocalist, keyboard player
George Dickens, Jr.- Songwriter, lead & background vocalist, keyboard player
Bruce Dickens- Background vocalist & lead guitar player
David Dickens- Lead & background vocalist
Nebraska Hinnant- Rhythm guitar player
