More About the Author

LK Collins is first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. She loves music and has openly admitted that she's addicted to it. Without the strength of the words from some of her favorite artists, what she does...would not be possible. She works the normal 9 to 5 like the rest of the world, but is fortunate that she's allowed to listen to music for eight hours a day. When she gets home, she turns into Superwoman; juggling the crazy world of being an indie author, a mom, and a wife. Both her daughter and her husband share names with famous presidents. Her husband is referred to by her readers as "the Prez", a name well deserved.

LK has had a passion for the worlds created by authors for as long as she can remember and with the support of the Prez, she has successfully self-published four titles. While her books are erotica, they are also known for dramatic storylines that will keep the reader enthralled from page one.

There is not 1 bad thing I can say about this book. The cover is absolutely beautiful and when you turn the pages of this story it also follows that beauty.

We start with Abel, he is Vincent's brother from Fatalism. Abel is a fire fighter, he lives for his job and has the occasional hook-ups with no want for a future with any of them. He has a past that consistently haunts him. But when he meets Cara, Alexa's (from Fatalism) best friend there is something about her that draws him in, she is different and he wants her. Cara is also not looking for anyone and definitely not Abel. She has been warned about his playboy ways and does not want to fall in the same routine of "the bad boy" that she normally falls for. She wants sweet and nice and romantic and clean cut. She does not want her heart ripped out tattooed bad boy. Both Cara and Abel are emotional broken for different reasons. When the two finally give in to the feelings they have for one another they realize they have a connection which can't be denied. When they first start out they decide to keep it a secret. Even thought there is tension when the secret comes out this really is the best scenario written for each other. Without the outside involvement they were able to focus on each other and not outside opinions. They both quickly fall in love and look towards a future. L.K Collins does not give us a happy ending so quickly. She manages a few twist that will out these two to the test. It really tore be up inside, but I loved the outcome.

L.K Collins has really delivered a breathtaking and steamy story. The story is so good, but the hot sex scenes make it so much better. It is a book I had to finish in 1 sitting. I was so captivated by the story and the characters I did not want to put the book down.

I'm not done reading yet at 50% and its a bit ridiculous. ok I love Abel and Cara but where is the story??? Its like a paragraph then sex, paragraph then sex and so on and so on. I mean don't get me wrong I love a great sex scene but this is to much (which I never thought I would say). Its missing the build up of a good story with the addition of hot sex. If I want to get right to hot sex I will get one of the free smutty books - just sayin' . Its too bad cause the characters are great...

Oh I loved Abel from the first book, I was so very excited to read his and Cara's story! I loved it, lots of steamy sex and lots of angst. I couldn't put this book down! Abel is definitely swoon worthy, I love a man with tattoos! I am very much looking forward to Bridgette and Troy! You rock, LK Collins! Definitely read this series, you'll love it!

LK Collins, you little she-devil you! You are becoming one of my favorite authors with this series! It just keeps getting better! For those of you who have read book 1 FATALISM, you know that LK Collins knows what she is doing. I believe this is only her second book, and I’m blown away how good it was. She is showing so much damn talent for being so fresh in the game. It’s inspiring really. Determinism was just as good as the first book, if not, even better. With more heart, more emotion, and even HOTTER sex scenes, you will definitely enjoy diving in to the worlds of Cara and Abel.

“….she really deserves her happily ever after. I hope one day I can have mine.”

Cara has had it with tattooed bad boys. She is sick of putting herself out there, just to get her hopes shot down when things got real. She is a little broken in a way that I can definitely relate to, which made me enjoy the story even more. She is a great friend, wonderful daughter, and beloved sister, but still feels alone. She wants what every girl wants, a fairy tale love story. I loved Cara in book one and I was so happy to see she got her own story. She worries for her best friend, and is always looking out for her. Cara is the type of friend that I want by my side in any situation, especially when browsing a sex shop! Loyal, protective, and funny as hell, she deserves her happy ending. She loves so damn hard, hearing her story broke my heart.

“All I can give you is me, and I hope that’s enough”

“I don’t need anything more; just don’t hurt me.”

“I won’t. I promise.”

Abel is a gorgeous firefighter, who has tattoos and piercings, AND he rides a motorcycle! Ladies, we don’t stand a chance with this one. Ultimate womanizing bad boy who is used to getting what he wants.

I totally love the Abel and Cara story. At times it felt like maybe, just maybe there was a little too much sex. I know, who ever thought that I would say THAT. But, don't hate me, it did. Now that I have that minor little complaint out of the way, let me tell you why this book was still so so good. Cara is bound and determined to not get involved with Abel. Plus when Vincent warns her how he's a wham bam thank you ma'am kind of guy, she's even more put off. She doesn't want to get back into that kind of relationship. I'm over here all GO CARA! Way to have some self respect and want to find a man who sees your self worth. I was totally in girl power mode. But just like cara, Abel wears you down. He's like a little stray puppy you know you shouldn't take home but you can't help but indulge and do it. But then he becomes your best friend. Yeah. Totally Abel. He really does become not only her best friend, but her confidant. And when she starts fibbing to Lex, I was all RUH ROH. Trouble ahead. Then I had to stop and ask- why IS she lying. Bad Cara, bad. Abel starts to morph into this super dependable good man that you can't help but love. Who had a cat names Puss, that alone earns him points in my book. Cara and Abel's relationship starts off physical but it morphs into this really deep, strong relationship. It gets tested more than once and just when you think they're in clear waters, it's deeper than you thought and a rough sea ahead. Hold on to your poncho folks, rough waters ahead. That's all I'm gonna say. Okay, I will say one more thing. She gets a kick ass new Tesla from Vince! He did keep his word from Fatalism. That I thought was funny. I though this book was really good and if you like Fatalism, you will like this.
