This review is from: Deterrence in the Second Nuclear Age (Paperback)
A great contribution to the much needed discussion of nuclear deterrence, both the history and future.
As we transition from a world with one or two potential nuclear adversaries to a world with several large nuclear arsenals, a number of countries with small arsenals and the possibility that a non state organization might obtain functioning nuclear weapons the problems of deterrence becomes far more complex. The author does a great job walking the reader through the jungle. The downside of the book is that it may cause some sleepless nights. Highly recommended. |
