The Osborne Brothers Still On A Journey, October 26, 2003
This review is from: Detroit to Wheeling (Audio CD)
When Pinecastle Records first sent me this wonderful collection to review, I couldn't wait to get out of the post office to open it up and listen to it! Happy to say I wasn't one bit disapointed as the CD started turning. Bluegrass fans everywhere have come to know and respect the Osborne Brothers for their great musicianship, great vocals and harmonies, and their great choice of picking songs.
On this Third of Four recordings marking the Osborne Brothers career from Hyden, Kentucky to the Ryman in Nashville; DETROIT TO WHEELING is a wonderful collection that is finely done. This two CD set is sure to make bluegrass fans everywhere estatic over the great sounds of the well loved Osborne Brothers. Best of all is that on the end of the second CD you can hear the origional broadcast from the radio broadcast from Wheeling, WV.
This is a must by for not only every Osborne Brother fan, but also every bluegrass fan. And I can not wait till the next release from Bobby and Sonny!

Good Bluegrass, May 30, 2008
This review is from: Detroit to Wheeling (Audio CD)
I wanted to hear some Bluegrass. Vocals are okay, but I was more interested in hearing what the musicians could do with their instruments. I wasn't disappointed. This was a good buy, and I'd buy it again.
