I am African American and have long natural hair (no relaxer). My hair is VERY tightly coiled (e.i. KINKY!). These products, when used properly, will definitely define any type of curl pattern your hair may have. I bought the entire collection off of Avenue You in June 2006 and when I do not straighten my hair with my Maxiglide and want to go au natural, these products enhance my coily locks. Usually my hair is very frizzy, but the Deva Curl system eliminates that. I never knew my curls could be frizz-free. The B'Leave In and Angell are the BEST! No other products work like these. I highly recommend Deva Curl for ANY curly hair type!

Well, not what it was hoped to be. I've used it all, all that comes in the bag, followed every step just as they said, but it was no better than every other "curl" product I've tried. Of course my hair is not what someone else's is so it may be just what you're looking for. I have corse, thick, curly, wavy, frizzy hair. The straight iron is my best friend. I would love to not be so tied down. Be able to go swimming and scrunch something in the hair and sit on the beach or by the pool and look normal. This won't do it for me either. It made my hair feel dirty, like straw and stiff as a board. Sorry, I wish I had better news.

This line of hair products are wonderful! Curls are very defined and springy!! The only thing wrong.......real Devas who use Devacurl know that we DO NOT use a brush on our Devalcious curls!!!
