Deva Curl Try Me Kit

Having finally made peace with my spiral curled, fine, frizzy hair I decided to embark on giving "curl friendly" products a try in spite of my belief that this is yet another way companies are justifying higher prices on necessities. I gave this trial size version of Deva Curl a try. The No Poo cleanser took some getting used to as there aren't any "suds". I did like the leave in conditioning spray but I already know I will only be able to use it during the summer when my hair tends to be dryer due to being at the pool or the beach. Otherwise I can see this leaving my hair greasy during the colder seasons. All the products smelled great, but besides the smell, I find Ouidad products better. The AnGEL hair gel was okay but didn't give me the same result that Ouidad's Climate Control does in NY Summer weather which can cause havac on hair like mine. So all in all, Deva Curl products are okay, smell great but I think I'll stick to Ouidad.

I purchased the DevaCurl Try Me Kit, and boy, am I glad I bought the trial size of the products. Here is my breakdown of each product:

-I like the No Poo. It is one of my favorite products. However, besides having "swavy" hair, I also have a scalp condition, and the No Poo does not do anything for my scalp condition. I do, though, like it better than most shampoos.
-The One Condition is just too much for my hair. After using it, my hair feels greasy and limp. I did not like the One condition at all.
-The AnGel did not really seem to boos my curls like I thought it would. I feel like the mousse I can get almost anywhere does a much better job with leaving my hair curly.
-The frizz spray, I used once, and I did not like the way it made my hair feel. Overall, I say if you have curly hair, and you want something for your curls, the trial size is the way to go, but don't expect miracles! By the way, all of the products SMELL GREAT!

... just doesn't work on my hair. I'm still searching for chemical-free products that will work to control the frizz and hold my curls.

The Try Me Kit, also a perfect travel size kit for airplanes is a great way to try these products. At first I thought the fragrance was overpowering, but by the second time I used them I didn't think so. Plus, the aroma didn't last after I washed it out. My hair just smelled good and was extremely soft and my curls looked great. If you are curious about these products I think it is a great way to try them out.
