Like others I came to this multivitamin while searching for a gelatin-free alternative to mainstream brands. Of course, being a vegan or a vegetarian means having special dietary considerations, so it was important to not sacrifice nutrient content in my multivitamin. I thought it would make the most sense to look for a supplement specifically marketed for vegans, as this would satisfy my demands for both the ingredients and nutritional content.

As far as the ingredients go, here's what it says on the bottle:

"This product does NOT contain animal products, derivatives or byproducts. 100% VEGETARIAN, VEGAN. This product is Certified Vegan by the Vegan Society."

And then later, if this is useful to you:

"Free of GMOs, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, dairy, egg, sugar, preservatives, dyes, sodium, animal products or derivatives."

This can hardly be more straightforward. You can find this product and all of its nutritional information on the Deva Nutrition website. For those of you buying from "Sullivan Vitamins & Irish Shop" on Amazon Marketplace without a product picture (I would add one if I had a camera worth taking pictures with), this is the version that clearly states "with Greens" on the front label. Allergies to these veggies are rare, and they come in a very small concentration, but in case you have severe food allergies these are:

"Green food / Vegetable / Herbal Blend: 80 mg
Spirulina (microalgae), Alfalfa (leaf), Ashwagandha (root), Broccoli (flower), Carrot (root), Chamomile (leaf), Chlorella (broken-cell microalgae), Cinnamon (bark), Dandelion (root), Ginger (root), Parsley (leaf), Rose Hips (fruit), Siberian Ginseng (root), Spinach (leaf).

I was on the search for a gelatin-free multivitamin and I found it. I've been taking this vitamin for a few weeks now. I haven't been nauseous once like I would get when I'd take Centrum or other multis. I'm a vegetarian and it's not always easy finding foods/vitamins without some weird animal product in them. I recommend this for anyone needing some nutrients you may be lacking from real food.

My daughter will not take any vitamin except a truly vegan one, and the prices on some of them are quite high. I always turn to Amazon for my products, and this one checked out when I researched it other places. I think it's sad that the other reviewer gave it just one star if the shipper destroyed the package, because you are supposed to rate the product. And the product has worked great for my daughter. She desperately needed the iron, and she takes these faithfully.

I truly appreciate a once-a-day vitamin that's not too huge, and provides me with the necessary vitamins and minterals I need. Deva vitamins qualify on all counts.

I'm extremely happy with this multivitamin. I used to take a multivitamin plus a B12 supplement every morning. I would often times get very bad stomach cramps and nausea, even when taking them with food. This is the best deal I have found on a multi that is made specifically for vegans/vegetarians, complete with a big boost of vitamin B. I am also able to take this on an empty stomach with NO nausea and NO stomach ache. Highly recommended!

I was very pleased with this product because I had been struggling with anemia for months before finding these affordable supplements that helped cure my anemia. My doctor prescribed heavy iron doses for me that made me VERY sick and even gave me hemorrhoids! The prescription also did not cure my anemia. So, I looked around for supplements that weren't so high in iron that would be gentle enough to not upset my gastrointestinal system. I found these, very affordable, supplements and now take them regularly. Not only did they cure my anemia with only the daily recommended dosage of iron (which must be of quality ingredients, as I seem to absorb them much better than my doctor's prescription), but they also helped with my vitamin D deficiency. I can't recommend them enough. As others have said, you don't have to worry about taking them on an empty stomach, and I also think that they are very easy to swallow in comparison to other vegan supplements I have taken. One pill per day without an offending taste is an added bonus for me, as I am used to taking hard to swallow, bitter pills 2-4 times per day. It goes down very smoothly. I always have a hard time swallowing pills, so I am a good judge on this issue! I will say that a previous brand that I used gave me more energy and prevented anemia, but it was too expensive for me to take this past year because I have been on a very tight budget. All around, this is a great product that serves its purpose.

Vegan or not, this brand/supplement has just the right amount of each nutrient and no more. Plus this multi includes the eye formula and green blend, all for under $9. Other vitamins make my stomach hurt because of GIRD or ulcers maybe but this brand doesnt upset my stomach. I really like this brand. I take a couple of other supplements from Deva as well.

Centrum and other popular multivitamins cause me to get sick with a brief but violent stomach flu. Apparently this is not an uncommon "phenomenon" with name brand multivitamins. I say "phenomenon" as there doesn't seem to be any one of these major manufacturers that can explain why this is occurring with some people. That is troubling to me. What is it that is in those mainstream vitamins that could cause so many people to be violently ill? Is it a manufacturing process that is causing this, or some sort of filler? Even if I wasn't one of the many that is effected in this way, I'd still be weary of a product that causes so many others to be sick.

I ended up stumbling upon DEVA's Vegan Multivitamin, not because it's vegan rather because it does not contain iron. Male's on a ketogenic diet are advised to take a non-iron containing multivitamin daily. I'm on this diet and went to amazon to find a non-iron vitamin and DEVA showed up on a search. It appeared to be well liked.

I am very happy with this vitamin. I have been taking it for many weeks now and have not been the slightest bit ill after taking it. I believe it to be a very high quality product, at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.
