Product Description

Size: 90

DEVA Vegan Prenatal Formula provides 138% of the recommended daily allowances of folic acid. Vitamin B12 is difficult for vegans to get in their diet due to its presence primarily in meat products. The DEVA Vegan Prenatal Formula provides over 1500% of the RDA of this vitamin. DEVA VeganPrenatal Multivitamin with Minerals provides the total-package in prenatal supplementation for any expecting mother, not just those on vegan diets. It contains a good combination of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients without providing any of them in harmful amounts. DEVA Vegan Prenatal Multivitamin is 100% animal free, and guaranteed for purity, freshness and labeled potency. Remember all DEVA Products are 100% vegan, vegetarian and are certified by the Vegan Society, the non-profit organization that actually invented the word "vegan".

The prenatal vitamins out there are rarely geared towards vegan women - you'll find many popular brands lacking in B12 completely or having insufficient amounts. Others are so overdosed with other vitamins (which, in such large amounts, have been linked to birth defects) that you're getting way more than you need. This one is the only one I could find which had everything I needed in the right proportion and another bonus is that it is over the counter and thus ends up being cheaper than co-paying for a prescription! THANK YOU to the manufacturers!!! :)

I was hoping I could find an animal friendly prenatal (since many use fish oils or the like)- and found this one. When I went to see my dietician regarding healthy pregnancy meal planning, she reviewed and approved the ingredients in this. (And she's an excellent dietician- so that's all I needed!) I have been completely satisfied with this product.

I have been taking the Deva Vegan Vitamins Prenatal Multivitamin for over 30 days now. So far they are great! I have had no stomach upset or constipation or any other side effects. I LOVE the fact that they are VEGAN. No harm done to any living creatures to make me more healthy for my baby :)

The vitamins are a little on the big side... had some trouble at first swallowing the pills, but other than that I love the prenatals... Seems to be the only Vegan prenatal vitamins available. Highly reccommend

I was shocked when I looked at the bottle of prenatal vitamins prescribed by my doctor. Artificial colors - lots of them! I am not a health food fanatic, I am not a vegan, or anything even close, but it seemed ridiculous to me to put artifical colors into a prenatal vitamin. I was happy to find these and I never had any negative side effects from them.

I was so happy to find these prenatal vitamins. Being a vegetarian I hated the idea of taking a vitamin with animal-derived nutrients.

These are very nicely balanced prenatals. My OB said she wished all her patients, vegan or otherwise, could have such strong iron levels. I've used them through 2 pregnancies and while nursing each of those blessings. Combined with a varied diet of fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts/seeds, and grains, a person should have absolutely no nutritional deficiencies.

They go down easily and have never caused nausea for me, something we all try to avoid in pregnancy. They are also very affordable and eligible for Super Saver Shipping. When you're pregnant or nursing, it helps to save those pennies!

I'd say my only complaint is that I sometimes burp the iron taste about 30 minutes after I take them, even if I eat with them. But, at least they don't have that seaweed-y taste like the Women's vitamins from a health food store.

I looked at a few different vegetarian vitamins and chose these because it had the most of the nutrients I need, including iron, vitamin B and folic acid. I have been taking these for the year before my pregnancy and they are doing the job fine.
