5.0 out of 5 stars Really like these.
Much better than the silver drugstore variety. They seem to tangle in my hair less and the color keeps them discrete on the morning drive.

To answer the poor review below - My stylist taught me to use these to get "lift" at the scalp. My long curls are heavy and pull my hair close to my head for the first 2-3". I clip random small pieces of hair into a...

1.0 out of 5 stars they last about a month or two and then snap from the heat of the dryer
If you have a deva haircut, use the clips and then use the dryer to set each curl, then I have to say that the results are wonderful as far as creating perfect curls. The concept is great... However, the quality of these clips is my problem. The issue is that they're plastic and are kind to the hair when you remove them...but I've gone through about 6 boxes of these in...

To answer the poor review below - My stylist taught me to use these to get "lift" at the scalp. My long curls are heavy and pull my hair close to my head for the first 2-3". I clip random small pieces of hair into a crimp shape (not a pin curl). They will not hold large quantities of hair.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for curly hair!, December 27, 2007
This review is from: DevaCurl DevaClips, Brown (Misc.)
These clips are great - especially becasue curly hair has a mind of its own! Because you're not suppose to blow dry curly hair, this option is great when you are getting dressed, doing your make up, etc...then you can just take them out and go. Also, if you use paper towels to take out some of the moisture in your hair, and not a terri cloth towel - you don't get any frizz and won't have to keep them in your hair very long. My hair dresser introduced these to me and they are great. I use the complete line of products and have no complaints. If you're not sure how to use them or the point of them - ask a hairdresser that KNOWS how to handle naturally curly hair or that is familiar with Deva Curl - there are so many options!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can I get a lift?, November 21, 2008
This review is from: DevaCurl DevaClips, Brown (Misc.)
After you have washed/conditioned your hair with Devachan shampoo and conditioner, twist the individual locks of hair on top of your head into ringlets and clip them up with these clips at the root. By doing this, as the hair dries it gives the curls some "lift" so that they do not lay flat against your head and gives the curls some bounce! These are great clips that don't get tangled in your hair.

However, the quality of these clips is my problem. The issue is that they're plastic and are kind to the hair when you remove them...but I've gone through about 6 boxes of these in a year's time. They snap after a month or two worth of using them every day. If you can afford to keep buying plastic clips that break, go for it. I replaced these with metal clips because these plastic ones just don't last very long.

These clips helped make my hair not completely flat by my part. You just put them in and let your hair dry for like 20 min give or take.

1.0 out of 5 stars Love their conditioner but not their clips, February 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DevaCurl DevaClips, Brown (Misc.)
I am an avid fan of DevaCurl's hair products - I have used their conditioner and gel for a few years now - and have converted the rest of my curly-headed family. My hair is in the best condition of my life, and my husband's wiry hair is now soft to the touch. Any one with curly hair knows this is saying something. But these clips were a major disappointment. They are weak and don't hold well at all - the cheapie metal clips I work much better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really not worth the price, June 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I really wanted to get behind the Deva products. I got the Shampoo, Con, gel, moisture spray, the lot. I found the whole line really heavy and makes my 3B curls look really greasy. I only use the conditioner as a leave in now and again the rest of the stuff is wasting space in my cabinet. I thought the clips might add a little volume but if you use them with heat they break. They are not strong enough for me to use them to set pin curls and i tried using them around my crown for volume and really didn't see any difference. I found coated gator clips from the beauty supply store cost about 1/3 the price and do a much better job.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth Much, January 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DevaCurl DevaClips, Blonde (Misc.)
These clips get hopelessly tangled and snagged in my hair. They are really not hair-friendly. I bought them because I didn't want to subject my hair to the damage of a heated hair dryer, but they only inflicted damage and breakage of a different kind.

They don't work as advertised, either. The clips slide down the hair shaft and actually weigh my hair down instead of giving it lift and body. After using them, I had flattened, broken hair. Really disappointing.

Perhaps there is a learning curve, but my hair is already thin and fine, and I just don't have enough hair to sacrifice to another try.

4.0 out of 5 stars LUV U DEVACHAN!!!, July 4, 2010

I am a regular customer of Devachan Salon here in NYC. I have been searching for ages for products that will help me tame my unruly curls. I highly recommend any Deva products to help maintain thick, spiral, most of time frizzy curls. These clips assist in maintain height or body to your curls from the root. Or if you wish to extend your curls and not have them dry so tightly, place the clips at the bottom of your curls. They are just the right weight and length. Again, THANK U DEVACHAN!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money!, November 7, 2010
This review is from: DevaCurl DevaClips (Misc.)
Initially, I was very excited about the option of using clips that were attractive enough to be seen in public. Unfortunately these clips are not long enough to work on even chin length hair when it is damp or dry. The old tried and true duck clips do work and don't break. I would like to take this up with deva curl because I want my money back!
