If you are interested in finding the best products for your curly hair, give this set a try. The DVD was informative, however, according to it, my hair type (fine, very wavy) requires "low-poo," not the no-poo shampoo contained in this kit. Wish this information was as clearly provided elsewhere! I prefer Kiss My Face Whenever shampoo, which is also SLS-free.

My favorite products are the "let it free" curl enhancing spray, which I would definitely purchase again; and oddly, the brown clips, which I at first thought were a throw-away item, but turned out to be the best! I can't find similar clips anywhere, so I will order those again separately.

My hairdresser introduced this to me about 1.5 years ago, and the line is fabulous. The "DevaCurl Set It Free Mist" is amazing, my hair has never looked softer and the curls are better then ever. Also recommend the "DevaCurl Set Me Up!" (sold separately) for super frizz control, as a finisher.

This is the best stuff ever for curly hair. Most shampoos for curly hair contain sulfates like all the rest of the shampoos. But sulfates dry out curly hair and take the curl right out of it. After a couple weeks of using Deva Curl - your hair takes on a whole new look. Love it......

I tried out DevaCurl on the recommendation of a coworker. The "No-Poo" shampoo is hydrating yet cleansing. Unfortunately, it leaves behind a very STRONG perfume smell that, for me, lasted the whole day and would have gone on lasting if I hadn't given up and washed my hair with a different product. There are plenty of non-natural ingredients on the label, including the extremely offensive "Parfum (Perfume)" - so I should have known better. Nevertheless, all the hype DevaCurl spends on making their product sound like it's better for you than a sudsing shampoo seems sort of misplaced if they can't even take out the artificial scents.

If you have sensitivities to perfumes, dyes, etc. this is not the product for you.

I have strong S-waves that turn to loose spirals with the proper handling. These products are clearly for super curly-crazy hair, as it totally weighed mine down and created a buildup on my scalp. My hair was just clumping around the crown, no matter how much I scrubbed that area in the shower with the 'no-poo,' it felt dirty. The styling products create a soft, lifeless curl that was mostly straight at the end of the day. I wish I could find a happy balance between this stuff and the silicone-free mousses and gels at the drugstore, which give me 'crispy head.' I guess I will keep looking and spending $$ until I find the perfect products for me. I will probably stick to drugstore though, as this was an expensive mistake.

It worked great but can't use it. It caused an asthma attack. has way too much perfume!

I like the cool feeling and the conditioning feeling of the shampoo. But the first ingredient for the gel and spray are alchohol. I felt like the spray worked well but everything else really dried out my hair.

Not really sold on the no-poo shampoo and conditioner. My hair looked okay, but I really didn't care for the smell of these products. The styling gel isn't too bad. I do like the anti-frizz spray and will probably continue to use that.

I was determined to make this work for me, how could it not based on all the rave reviews? I have really curly BIG hair! So I was disappointed when I used the four products exactly as directed and my results were a dry and frizzy mess! I was sure I had done something wrong, so I tried it again... the shampoo left my hair feeling dry, the condition helped a little but not much, the gel was ok but with all the 'dry' going on it didn't save anything, the spray made it altogether worse, I could feel it getting frizzier the minute it touched my hair! Then I tried it piece by piece thinking maybe it was just one or two of the products that didn't work for me.. but no such luck. So, at that point I was ticked and I figured since I had spent so much money on it I would just use it up.. which was probably the best thing I could have done. I used what was left in the shampoo, much more than I had used before and that seemed to be the trick. Using more than as directed seemed to make it softer than before, the same with the conditioner, I used more and left a little of the product behind. I really liked my results then. The gel and spray I still have not found love for.. I am just curious if anyone else had this experience... I am definitely torn between liking this product and never using it again. It might cost me a fortune to continue using it but just using ALOT every time.

I like it. At first I thought it didn't smell very good, but the smell doesn't stay.
It does what it promises.
