I've used Mavala Stop before but I thought I'd try this because it's cheaper. As it turns out Bite Ender isn't worth the lower cost because you can hardly taste any bitterness. It might work on a child but it for an adult it's ineffective. It's back to Mavala Stop for me.

My teen daughter has been chewing and tearing off her nails for as long as I can remember. She was tired of having short nails and wanted to make a change, though the habit was just too difficult to overcome on her own. Bite Ender was unpleasant enough to give her the reminder she needed. She still nibbles at the corners of her fingers occasionally, but now she has beautiful fingernails that she's proud to show off. She loves that she needs to file down the edges and can paint her nails without them looking like "guy nails." This has been a great purchase and I would have gladly paid 3x as much for the satisfaction it's provided my daughter.

the product is a waste of money and does not work. I've tried applying it several times a day to my daughters fingers. Might as well be candy flavored. Burn your money before buying this item.

This doesn't really taste like anything. Not bad, not good. I wouldn't recommend it. In order to get me to stop biting my nails I want a deterrent that actually tastes bad.
