About the Author

FRANCIS McGUFF is Director of Product Planning and Development for the MetaCube ROLAP Option for Informix Software, Inc., in Menlo Park, CA. Before joining Informix, he founded Telos Solutions, which employed leading relational and multi-dimensional database management systems and OLAP products to develop decision support systems and knowledge discovery products for developing decision support applications for banking, pharmaceutical, insurance, and leasing clients.

JOHN KADOR is a computer industry journalist who regularly tackles application development issues from both the technical and project management perspectives. His articles have appeared in publications ranging from Computerworld and Datamation to Home Office Computing and Internet Business. He earned an undergraduate degree from Duke University and has a Masters degree in Public Relations from The American University. John Kador can be contacted at: jkador@compuserve.
