If you are taking a child development class this is the book you should use. The only down side was someone in the class had the 8th edition and the wording between both books was almost word for word. So unless you get a class that uses the 10th edition just save the money and buy the 8th edition. For the most part the book was great and really put everything out there, I just couldn't get past how much it was a copy of edition 8.

Textbooks can be boring, overwhelming, insulting, underwhelming... This text is well written, well organized and interesting enough to hold your attention. I have enjoyed reading it and like Kathleen Stassen Berger's writing style. This is one of the better Psychology books I've had.

It feels like highschool all over again with this book. Good read for psych and counselor majors.

This was a very nice book that explains the concepts and applications of the material very well. That and the figures are very well explained and laid out.

I purchased this text book because it was required for my Child Dev class. I got a reasonable price through Amazon. It is a decent read--interesting, but not fascinating. The author used fun anecdotes to support the subject matter. It's very readable, in spite of its sometimes very technical terms.

The book came on time and it was in the condition stated on the website. It is for school, and just what I needed for one of my early childhood classes. And also I love how it breaks the topics down. Very informative.Thank you very much I appreciate your service

I found this book to be very current, interesting and well written. I will keep this book for my further studies. I was pleased with this school book. You won't hear me say that about most college books.

We have found that renting textbooks are the way to go. It has saved us a bundle of money and when we are done, we just send it back and then we look for other books for my daughters college classes.
