Developing for XP,
By Chris (NJ, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Developing Tablet PC Applications (Charles River Media Programming) (Paperback)
I guess I was expecting something dedicated to the Tablet PC like Jarrett & Su's "Building Tablet PC Appl." -- just more in-depth, since this book was so much delayed. What I seem to have is an intermediate level book on Programming for XP, with some chapters on programming for the Tablet PC. It does cover a number of interesting topics specific to more recent Windows platforms. And the writing style seems to be easy to read through.

For programmers seeking to create their own applications,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Developing Tablet PC Applications (Charles River Media Programming) (Paperback)
Developing Tablet PC Applications by computer expert and professional Clayton E. Crooks is a self-teaching tool for specifically for programmers seeking to create their own applications for the exciting new Tablet PC. This is a new development which blends the usefulness of notebook computing technologies with the raw power of Windows XP. Sample code and source projects (both in the text and on an included CD-ROM), illustrate this instructive text which is replete with examples that anyone can use to build upon. Developing Tablet PC Applications is a very worthwhile addition to any Tablet PC programmer's personal or professional reference library.
