This review is from: The Development of Harmony in Scriabin's Works (Paperback)
I definitely learned all I needed to know about Scriabin's harmony from this book, however reading it was sometimes a task: the author writes in essentially broken English. Also, American students be warned that a lot of German music theory notational conventions are used throughout the book (for example, b is frequently notated as h).The book is VERY informative and interesting, but terribly written. Recommended only for those with some level of music theory background. |
