Devil With the Blue Mic. One Word. Refreshing. I have been an avid fan and practitioner of hip-hop for most of my life and every once in a while the music reaches a point where it stagnates and someone comes in and breathes a new breath of life. Symantix is that someone. She has obviously been put through her paces as her lyrics are delivered with the confidence and swagger only a seasoned emcee can convey. The production is tight and flawlessly complementary to Symantix's performance. In a carbon-copy world of p-i-m-p-s and b-l-i-n-g, this CD is refreshing and well worth the purchase.

this is one of my favorite albums period. i think Symantix brings something new to the game. her album is thoughtful, smart and sexy. it speaks for women like me, who are intelligent, sexy and street-smart, and LOVE hip-hop. my favorite songs are NY LIFE, FEELING YOU and THESE BOOTS. feeling you got that crazy beat that make you just wanna...(well, you know...)
