Die Ärzte is a band that started out in Berlin, Germany. This happens to be their 1st LP. but has a demo out called Uns Gehts Prima which means we are fine. This cd is mostly soft nothing heavy, but as the years went by you can tell that their style has changed. In order to understand the lyrics you must speak german. Proficent prefrably. the hit song on their is probably Zu spat. some songs were banned in germany such as Claudia Hat' nen schaferhund. This band has about 16 other cds out. I never thought i would listen to german music but i do and i can speak german. if you are learning german i would suggest you listen to this cd because it uses alot of common phrases to help you with pronuciation. Die Ärzte ist die beste band der welt. for english Die Ärzte is the best band in the world.

"Die Ärzte" are Germany's most important and simply best fun-punk band. They've put out 13 albums so far, and "Debil" was their first (issued in 1984). This record's nearly got everything you'd appreciate buying a punk-pop record - the lyrics are funny and intelligent, the music is a genial mixture of simple pop hooklines, crazy punk riffs and a little bit wave as well. The only bad thing about "Debil" is that it only runs for 38 minutes or so; but why bother, just press the 'play' button again once the record has ended, and be sure to have a great deal of fun while listening. One thing: If you want to get the maximum fun dose out of "Debil", you should already have had some encounter with the German language - otherwise you wouldn't be able to understand the excellent and saucy lyrics fully, and that would only be half the fun!

I started listening to die Ärzte at the recommendation of a Swiss friend after I told him about "Weird Al" Yankovic. (Most of) their songs are really funny! They're also a lot of fun to sing. I usually skip „Claudia hat 'nen Schäffer Hund" though. Bläh.
