Product Description

Devil Dice is a unique puzzle game, where the player controls a small devil that runs around a grid covered in large dice. The player can both stand atop dice, and stand on the ground (with the dice towering above). When standing on the dice, the player can move from die to die, or can roll a die in the direction he or she runs, revealing a different face as the die rotates. Creating a group of adjacent dice with identical pips-the size of which must be at least the number of pips-causes those dice to slowly sink into the field before disappearing. Chain reactions are possible by adding additional dice to a sinking set. Different types of dice are available in some modes, with different properties to make the game more challenging. The game features the following modes: Battle - Pits the player against a single computer opponent, both attempting to build up chains and negate those of the opponent. Puzzle - Mode in which players must solve puzzles (i.e., clear all dice) using only a limited number of steps or moves. Solving a whole row of puzzles allows players access to a picture that they can play on in Battle mode. Trial - The standard arcade-style mode, where the objective is to remove as many dice as possible (and thus score as many points as possible) before the grid completely fills with dice. Wars - A frenzied multiplayer mode, supporting up to four simultaneous computer opponents, or five human players when using a multitap. Players damage each other as they complete chains, with the "last devil standing" becoming the winner

5.0 out of 5 stars A game that prevents you from wanting to go to bed August 29, 2003
This is one of the most addictive action/puzzle games ever (on par with Tetris for me.) You're a little devil that hurts other little devils by walking on dice to bring them together. You need 6 sixes together, 5 fives together. etc. When you put the dice together they slowly sink into the ground, and when they finally disappear it hurts all the other devils on the screen. But, other devils can steal your sinking dice by rolling their own die next to it that matches. Last devil standing wins.
There's also a separate puzzle game, where the object is to have the devil roll all the dice on the screen into the proper patterns so they dissapear. And some of these are HARD! When you win a set of ten, you get new floor tiles for the action version of the game.
I tried to explain this in a nutshell. Hope I did an OK job.
This game is terribly addicting. The object of the game itself is novel, the devils look and sound cute, it's multiplayer (though you can also play against the computer), and you will know at once whether or not you will like it. I was hooked from the very first time I ever saw it -- took me several months to track it down since they don't make too many of them anymore (it's a very early Playstation game.)
So if you love puzzle games, you'll probably want this.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This "Devil Dice" game is great. This is a lot more FUN than... Tetris? This is seriously the most addictive game I've ever played. Frantic competition against four other players will keep your teeth ground together until you get a substantial lead against them. Any baby could learn to play a puzzlegame, but only kids with a quick wit and heart can win, which is hopefully what I am. If you have any doubts or hesitations about the idea of perhaps buying "Devil Dice", you may call me. This way, I can challenge you to a game.

Sincerely Yours.

5.0 out of 5 stars've been warned! November 27, 2004

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
You (a little devil cartoon character) are given dice to flip and roll in a defined area to establish the pattern asked. It looks easy but some of the puzzles are tricky. Battle mode in a frenetically paced multiplayer mode where you jump and land on dice to roll them over to make chains of dice that increase your score. Blah, blah, blah...more fun than "Irritating Stick". Just buy it!
