I do not think words can do this story justice its one that you are just going to have to read yourself. I personally LOVED it from start to finish.

Heather Huffman has written another captivating story. This one is definitely different. I read it within a 24 hour period. It's one of those amazing stories that makes you laugh, cry, and have you on the edge of your seat not able to put the book (or kindle) down until the very end. It also makes you really think about what is going on around you all at the same time. There were sad parts that made me like NOOOO I can't believe that happened or is happening, but I didn't feel an injustice was done on the author's part. This is a very well written book. It is definitely one of my favorites from Heather Huffman's collection of books.

I would recommend reading her other books first especially Jailbird before reading this one. I don't think you'd be lost reading this one first, but it will make a lot more sense if you read Heather Huffman's other books before diving into this one.

One thing that is so great about all of Heather Huffman's books is that she revisits past characters, and although there is a common theme of strong women each story is unique. It is not like reading the same plot all over again with different characters.

I don't know how I can give this book enough praise. Having read all of Heather Huffman's previous books, I was delighted to see the development of characters from previous books (Throwaway, Jailbird and Suddenly a Spy). The characters come together in a story that will grip you and keep you reading.

Strong story that packs a strong message about human trafficking, well written romance and a few twists that grab at your heart.

Well done. I can't wait to see what else Heather comes up with.

This is a new author for me. When I checked it out I was stunned she had several books out all with great reviews. So I thought another good book to review. Now I am shocked at the content not only as a reader but as a Mom. There was a write up about the topic of "human trafficking" and the author is donating proceeds for the cause. So BIG BRAVO to Heather for that!!

So the plot is about teens getting lured through a chat space (think my space and FB chats) and drugged until they are convinced they are hopeless and give up. That is when these psycho's get their "catalogue" together and try to sell girls.

The book is more suspense than thriller and I think equal romance (smut that wont make you blush too too much) The main characters are Rachael Cooper a prominent Reporter who is easily recognized and her ex Conrad. Well Rachael scores an interview with an idol Bruce Springsteen. They do the usual chatting and when the interview is over they get a little personal. He of course, is very in tuned when it comes to woman (swoon!!) and tells her she isn't over her ex. Then Bruce tells her to call him. Rachel thinks a little too much of course.

Shortly after Rachel gets a call from her mother saying her sister is missing. The only person Rachel can think of is Conrad. He can find her, he can help, no hesitation she calls him.

Author Heather Huffman reunites some of her fans' favorite characters with this unforgettable journey of romance, friendship, humor and suspense.

Determined to protect her family, Rachel finds herself right in the middle of the worst thing that could happen to her sister. It was tragic to learn about the underworld of human trafficking.

My favorite stories are all about the adventure and intrigue of finding love while fighting off the bad guys. Working out the pitfalls, bumps and misunderstandings of a romantic relationship while under fire helps to keep the pages turning. Devil In Disguise offers all of this and a good deal more. There are a few rough spots in the beginning, and one or two regional references that left me scratching my head, but Devil In Disguise finds its rhythm and delivers a read that is hard to put down.

Rachel Cooper, television journalist and on-air anchor, is good at her job. She's also good at keeping her personal relationships at arm's length. She likes her life the way it is until the night her teenage sister is abducted. With a single phone call Rachel and her family are thrown into the world of human trafficking. Thanks to a story she reported, Rachel knows something about the dangers - enough to have her calling in the people she trusts most. The first call she makes is to Conrad Langston, ex-lover, the man she's never gotten over.

Rescuing Julia is just the beginning. Keeping her safe while she recovers from her ordeal requires the family to leave everything behind and disappear. For Rachel it means taking risks that she could never have dreamed of while opening her heart to Conrad and trusting in a future that may never be.

Heather Huffman takes readers into one of the most frightening scenarios a family can dream of: human trafficking. She champions a cause by weaving it into a really good story with believable characters, mostly believable scenes, and an occasional breath of humor. I will be looking for the other titles in this series.
