Discovery Of A Fiction Writer,
By Norman L. Wolfson (Point Pleasant, N.J. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Devil in the House (Paperback)
I have known the author for nearly a half century. But did I really know him? He was great in politics and the book gives an inkling of this. But I think, after reading "Devil In The House", he missed his calling. His writing grabs the reader from the start. And the deeper one goes the more one is hooked. I thoroughly enjoyed it-- and marvelled at the the plot and character development.

Clever Maneuvering in Congress,
By "genecowen" (Washington, DC USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Devil in the House (Paperback)
What do you do about a death in Congress? Make the most of it, according to Neal Pickett, the conniving main character in Paul Theis' fascinating "Devil in the House." The clever anti-hero contrives an elaborate scheme to delude Congress and the press, and in the process gives the reader interesting lessons in legislative procedures and political maneuvering in a tight campaign for the House of Representatives. But the main reason for reading this book is that it carries you along through clever twists and surprises that will prevent you from putting it down until the moving climax.

This review is from: Devil in the House (Hardcover)
This novel is an excellent read. Paul Theis did a wonderful job with detailing what goes on behind the scenes of a Congressional election. The book was very griping and suspenseful. I truly enjoyed reading every page of it.

Hill Deviltry,

This review is from: Devil in the House (Paperback)
This is more than a page turner. Author Paul Theis spent decades soaking up the atmosphere on the Hill before writing this book -- and his experiencxe shows. Good characterization. And, the pace quickens as the plot takes unexpected turns. I was hooked quickly and couldn't put it down. This book would make a great movie!
