This is a fantastic collection for the price. The first and third are absolute gems of games, with quality graphics (especially considering that DMC 1 was made in 2001), smooth action, and an engaging story.

The second game in the series was a bit of a step backwards, but only when compared to the other games in the series. Viewed on its own, it's still a fun game. It just limited some of the expansiveness that made the original so engaging.

The third went back to the roots in many ways, and at the same time built on the series. The game was made to be more challenging, graphics improved, and it became an even deeper experience than before.

Even with the relative dud sandwiched into this set, the entire collection is a wonderful value at just $10 per game -- cheaper than most any brand new bargain bin game you can find. This is one of the true classic series on PS2, and a must for any collection. Whether you were a fan of one of the games, or have never tried any in the series, go out and get this collection. You will not regret it.

This is a great box set from Capcom for the PS2!!! It includes: "Devil May Cry",Devil May Cry 2" and "Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition" in a awesome collectors box!!! A great set for the Devil May Cry fan!!! Long live Dante!!! Two thumbs up!!! Way up!!! Five stars!!! A+

You get the first three games for a good price. The story order is actually interesting if you would like to play it that way instead it is 3, 1, 2. If you have a Playstation 3 or a XBox 360 note that you can play the whole series in order by playing 3, 1, 4, 2. Well at least as far as the story is concerned.

You play as Dante in these three titles who is a Devil Hunter, but he's half devil himself. His father was the legendary Sparda who was the first to defend humans from his own kind. While his mother has little information mentioned on her. Not being entirely human he can call upon his devil half and transform his body for increased strength and speed. He also has access to new abilities such as flying depending on the weapon you have equipped.

The games have a good amount of action in them and the puzzles can be slightly difficult without being overly frustrating. You have to work pretty hard to find all of the secrets in the game and the hidden missions often tend to be very difficult. If you are a true completionist you will need to explore the levels very thoroughly. The game's difficulty ranges from being very easy to extremely difficult depending on the mode you pick. Dante Must Die Mode is for the true experts as one hit from any enemy will kill you. In my opinion this collection is well worth it and puts the games at roughly $10.00 a piece which is really good if you looked up their new prices on sites like e-bay.

For this price even if your just missing one DMC you cant go wrong buying this. Right now on Amazon,the price for all 3 DMC's separately is just over $70.

Whats really neat about this bundle is that DMC 3 is a special edition 'Black Label' instead of the 'Greatest Hits' version (the SE of DMC 3 was only a greatest hits till now)

The weakest game of the trilogy is probably DMC 2,with the best one obviously being DMC 3 (newer and way more features than the first 2 combined)

A must buy if you have played DMC 4 and have the need for more Dante!

The first time I played Devil may cry, I would probably have described the gameplay as orgasmic. Looking back I realized that once you get past the bells and whistles you have an entertaining, solid game, but it's not one of the best games of history (unlike Metal Gear Solid). That aside this product is a great deal. I paid 30 dollars for the bundle of three games. I never owned a Dmc game before this and it was fun beating them consecutively. I can't really point out a major flaw of these games but it has a number of little details that prevent me from giving a 5 star rating. So I would recommend this bundle if you never owned a Dmc game, but if you were already a huge fan, then you probably had the games to begin with. In that case theres no point in rebuying them because this bundle doesn't have any interesting extras to speak of.

I'm an avid player of RPG's, but I wanted to try other types of games to see if I liked them, so I figured I would try the Devil May Cry series because they seemed to be pretty popular. I was just going to buy the first game and see if I liked what the series had to offer, but then I saw this aniversary collection with all three games included. I figured that if I liked the first game ,then I could pop in the second and third game in right after I finished with the first. So I was like, what the heck, I'll just buy it! And so I did ,and.....the first game is good. I was personally wanting some more story to go with the game,but that was just because I'm so used to RPGs. The first game has good graphics and gameplay for when it was made(2001 I think). And then came the second game. And OH MY GOSH was that an aweful game. The game play was fine but the story was well, there wasn't really much of a story, and if you could find and understand a good story without flipping back and forth between disks then kudos to you. I didn't even finish playing the game and I have been known to sit through some pretty aweful games. The third game however, made up for all that the second lacked. I think that this game is really good,there was even quite a bit of story involved. The funny thing about the game though , is that there is an unlockable easy mode for people who suck at the game and die too many times starting out,and well, I unlocked that, but anyways I'm thinking about buying DMC 4.

Overall:
If you're looking to buy this, you might want to consider Just buying 1 & 3 seperatly and just skipping #2 because honestly, you wouldn't be skipping anything.

The gameplay is fun but the story line is not as good as I thought it would be. Dante is the Deadpool of Capcom, I enjoyed that. I got some laughs.

Devil May Cry was a superb game that I have very fond memories of. However the sequel turned out to be the largest disappointment I've ever experienced from a game. 3 was both a return to form and a change in direction for the series, but all in all an excellent game for anyone looking to kick some demon butt and challenge themselves. If you get this set, don't bother with 2. It's not a broken game, but it's almost completely devoid of fun or anything that made the first game special. If you enjoy games like God of War, Dante's Inferno, Heavenly Sword, and the new Castlevania, You should enjoy this set.

This collection, which contains DMC DMC2 and DMC3:SE is a fantastic buy! When I saw it, I knew I just had to get it! The second game in the series caught a bad rap for departing from the first game from a character perspective, but the gameplay is still solid. In my personal opinion, the Devil May Cry series is a must own for anyone who loves action games. One of the best out there, five stars all the way!!!

I got the games very quickly, which I loved! Also I cannot stop playing them they are too awesome to just put down! Devil may cry is packed full of cool scenes and characters that will just rock your world! in the end i'm very satisfied with my purchase! ^_^
