Book Description

Desperate to save her family from financial ruin, Edwina Moody accepts a precarious job, putting her in the path of an intimidating biker gang—and one member in particular, Diablo, with whom she strikes a bold bargain
After Edwina Moody’s father skips town, deserting his family and leaving behind massive debts, the task of escaping financial ruin falls to Edwina. Forced to abandon her dreams, she accepts the difficult job of tracking down the missing heir of the wealthy Holt family, armed only with a photo of Christopher Holt at fourteen and a tip that he’s hanging out with a rough biker crowd.
Edwina begins her search at Blackie’s Bar, notorious for its dangerous clientele. She’s a ripe, tempting target for the bikers, but luckily Diablo, the most intimidating one in the place, rescues her from an alarming altercation. Drawn to Edwina, Diablo takes her for an unforgettable ride on his motorcycle, during which she’s confronted by his rippling muscles and threatening allure. The two strike a precarious bargain when Edwina implores him to help her find Holt. In return, Diablo has a few compromising conditions of his own.

5.0 out of 5 stars a thrilling romance July 21, 2006
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This was one of the sexier romance novels I've ever read. I loved everything about the story and characters and the author's style of writing. My copy got so worn from re-reading that I had to eventually get a second copy :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Ride or Research? September 14, 2000
Format:Mass Market Paperback
If Ms. Forster didn't actually ride, she did a great job on research. I do ride and I felt like I was there at every turn. The characters and feelings were vivid and her ending was just as I hoped it would be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweetly Sensual May 15, 2012
By macapeb
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Edwina Moody is a woman repressed, weighed down by the responsibilities she has for her family. Diablo is biker--strong, dangerous, and georgeous.

Well, they say opposites attract and in this book it's definitely true. Edwina goes in search of the heir of a large estate and finds Diablo. Her life will never be the same.

The story here is good, and (if you can suspend your disbelief that an almost virgin would hook up with a biker) the book is a solid read. The romance is good and at times very sigh-worthy. I especially liked the first encounter they had in the grotto. I found that ocassionaly the word choice was inappropriate for the context, but that is a minor flaw. It just sometimes took me out of the moment when I came across one.

All-in-all, I recommend this book for those who like romance, love a dark and troubled hero, and enjoy a little spice with their romance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heavenly! January 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is surprisingly deceptive. You expect something light and instead end up with something deep and meaningful. Edwina Moody is finder. She's undergone a career change to support her mother and younger sister after her father disappears from their lives. Her current job is to find Chris Holt, who disappeared from home 20 years ago. If she can find him, the finders fee will allow her to save her family home from being foreclosed on. She enlists the help of a biker named Diablo to find Chris Holt, and is taken on the ride of her life.
