A walk through the woods...,

This is the harrowing tale of three people walking through the woods. I'm not kidding, thats it. I suppose if I was to get more detailed in my description its actually the harrowing tale of a fat guy with a bag over his head that abducts two tattooed barflys and then they all walk through the woods. At one point they stop and the fat guy takes a dump. Then they all drink some whiskey and they are back on their way. Walking through the woods...

Slow and Perverse,

This so-called 'movie' is nothing but one long extended bondage scene about some creepy guy with a sack over his head who kidnaps these two women after a party. He poses as a cop and pulls them over then ties them up and gags them. Then he sticks them in the trunk of his car and takes a loooooong drive into the woods. Then when he finally stops they get out and he forces the women to walk FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE RUNNING TIME through the woods, bound and gagged the whole time! The 2 'actresses' deserve a lot of credit for enduring this obviously grueling shoot. Still, nothing happens in this 'movie' for the longest time! We're talking NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE AT ALL! Just to break the overwhelming monotony of feet crunching on dried leaves there's an occasional stop to make a campfire and various other inconsequential time wasters! There are about 4 lines of dialog in the entire movie! The camera lingers on the tied up women for an uncomfortable amount of time while they whimper. There's a badly directed escape scene then FINALLY a decent TWIST that is the only reason I'm giving this boring thing 2 stars. I really didn't expect all of the nonsense to actually MEAN something at the end but it does. Still, most viewers probably won't even make it that far. I was just too damn tired to get up and put in another DVD!

I honestly don't know why you are looking at this page right now. If you are, I would advise you to read my review rather than watch this "movie"!Simply put this is the most boring 82 minutes ever spent, and certainly the longest. Whatever "plot" there is, it relies heavily on the characters being 10 times as moronic as most horror characters ever. I am actually embarrassed To admit I watched it. It IS that bad! The one reason Netflix hyped this is due to it being shot in 2004 during Hurricane Ivan, yet there's literally four minutes of the hurricane, all of which appears in the very beginning and serves no purpose but to drown out the dialogue. Speaking of which, an hour of the movie is just silent footage of the characters walking through the woods. The camera work is so shaky and grainy I am amazed I didn't puke while watching. There are literally four dialogue scenes in the entire movie, all of which last 5 seconds. Oh and the supposed "Devil" is just a guy in a cheapie bear suit, who is on screen for a minute and then gets shot to death. Seriously... Spare yourselves some life. If you have insomnia, don't see the doctor for sleeping pills... Buy this movie and watch it every night. You'll be out cold within 10 minutes of this "horror" movie that has zero scare value at all.

how not to stretch a short,
This review is from: The Devil of Blue Mountain (DVD)
Take the first 15 minutes and the last 15 minutes, drop the long walk through the woods, the shaky hand held camera and the low budget special effects and at least you have a somewhat coherent story. However, we are tortured for an extra hour with scenes of a guy with a sack over his head escorting his captives through the woods for some unknown nefarious reason to things we're really better off not seeing or are of no interest whatsoever. If you could watch it for cheap with a fast forward capability, that would be your only salvation and my only recommendation.
