The pride of Houston,

Not only does this cd rock, but they kick major ass in concert. From the opening title track all the way to the hidden last track, "Dead Fuck", this cd rocks!! If asked to pick a weak spot, I couldn't. There are, however, two slower tempo songs. But neither of which could be considered a weak spot. One of them, "Undone", is apparently in tribute to a deceased relative of Thomas and Jeff. The most popular track here is "Vanishing Cream". It got quite a bit of airplay when it came out. They were enjoying their fair share of success during this time, too. They toured the world and opened for such major acts as KISS (a personal fave of mine). I may be a bit partial because I'm from their hometown of Houston and have met Thomas several times, but that doesn't mean this cd wouldn't make an excellent addition to a hard rock fan's collection. If you need proof, just listen to the samples available here. Then buy the cd and catch the guys doing what they do best... rocking your ass off live!

Awesome CD,

The Hunger was in the spotlight for a couple months when this album came out but then seemed to just disappear. Where are they now?? This album seriously rocks! Its hard-driving mix of heavy rock, industrial, and meaningful lyrics make this a 5 star cd. Every song on this album is well done, (including the hidden song) but the ones that really stand out in my mind are "Vanishing Cream" and "Love me or leave me". These are two of my favorite songs ever, with powerful guitar riffs and deep, meaningful lyrics.

I first saw The Hunger open up for KISS on the 96 reunion tour. Normally, opening bands mean it's time to get a beer. The Hunger seriously rocked though! They had an incredible energy and, I think, made the most of their opportunity. Where are they now? I don't know - but if you get the chance to see them I recommend it. This CD is a good debut - it got some radio air time. Where are they?

The Hunger is an band that has yet to fall off!,

The Hunger is one of the best bands I have heared. They bring rock back to an age of lost music. The NIN and Metalica that we all grew up with, have lost thier roots. The Hunger knows where it came from, and that makes me want to listen even more.

This CD is really awesome. My brother used to be into this type of industrial rock, but then he got into rap and so I took it from him. Ever since, I've loved it. Especially "Undone", "Vanishing Cream" and the title track. An awesome blend of rock and industrial music and some other unidentifiable elements in there as well. Theres a great variety from song to song, closely resembling some NIN stuff, and oddly enough I can hear some familiar Guns and Roses rifts in there. A must have for hardcore audiences

Great Industrial Music,
By zf1@n2.com (Myrtle Beach, SC) - See all my reviews

The Hunger is a modern industrial band which happens to sound like an early Trent Reznor cd. My brother, who is a NIN freak, heard the cd while i was listening to it and asked me to give him back his "Pretty Hate Machine" cd back!. Anyway, for industrial music lovers, check this cd out. pay particular attention to songs: 1,2,4,6,and 8.

The Hunger grew on me,

I first heard The Hunger in a local record store. The song Rings and Roses happened to be playing over the store's promo system. loudly. Rings and Roses is a dark, hateful, corrosive sort of nc-17-rated-trent reznor trip into the realm of an unpleasant romantic experience - i loved it, asked the clerk what was playing and bought the cd without even looking at the title or group... and was sadly dissapointed when i got it home to learn that track 7 is the only like it on the whole cd, hidden track included. however, after several subsequent listens i was hooked - the work is all exceptional, full of power, feeling and original hooks. a perfect blend of late 80's rock anthems and 90's industrial grind. i have recommended it to many friends, and even given the cd as a gift a couple times. excellent, but it was an aquired taste.

I had the actual CD for this back in '96, when I was in high school. It's great music - heavy metal meets alternative hooks. Mostly bought it for nostalgia, but it's a great listen all the same.

This band is always great. Although this album only has one hit (Vanishing Cream), the other tracks aren't disapointing despite the decline of industrial music during this era.The CD was delived in an average amount of time, and in great condition. I was satisfied with the overall result of my purchase.
