Listening to this book was like taking a college course on the middle east.The narrators voice was a little melodic but his pronunciation of middle eastern names was excellent. It was very informative and educational for me. He has a grasp for these countries that few Americans will ever achieve. It will always make me look at the crisis, wars, cultures, religions, and dealings in the middle east from a different perspective now. Baer gives an outlined agenda at the end of this book on how the US should deal with Iran and other middle eastern countries. He makes some very good arguments on why we should make these changes now. It's an eye opening read, I would highly recommend it.
