My take:

I give this book 4 stars.

One morning Jake find's Lyn passed out in the forest (wooded area) behind his home. He is very cold to Lyn because she is former fiancée. Jake had recently broke it off with Lyn who worked in a gallery where his work was featured. "Lyn" suffered a nasty bump to her head during the night.

This was one of Charlotte's best books. This is most definitely old school harlequin romance for a number of reasons. The hero wasn't wealthy in fact I doubt if he was middle class in that there is no mention of him having great wealth. Instead, he tells the heroine that he did okay. Jake lives on a somewhat basic farm with his mother. They do all of their own chores with little in the way of modern technology and household appliances. Much of the book is spent with Jake spitting hateful words at Lyn because he does not believe that she truly has amnesia. Jake's mother is also very distrustful of Lyn because of the nasty way she treated her in the past. Anyway, this is one of those evil twin good twin romance with amnesia thrown in.
