OH MY GAWD! I musta just died and went to heaven. In an age when every blues comp looks the same, here's one that not only doesn't feature the same old stuff, almost everyone of these tracks is a hard to find collectors item. This hands down, pound for pound, is the grandady of all electric blues comps. C'mon, when was the last time you heard Earl Hooker on the same disc as Lightnin' Hopkins AND both tracks even the most hard boiled blues freak has probably never heard, and the Lightnin' track is even tougher than anything he ever did. You've got ultra rare gems from a young Joe Hill Louis (under the name of Johnny Lewis)the very first Albert King recording in existence, J.B. Lenoir's original version of "Mama Talk To Your Daughter", I can't say enough about how wonderful this CD is. If St' Louis Jimmy's "Murder In The First Degree" doesn't kill you, the rest of this CD will. OUTSTANDING!!
