A Real Page-Turner,

I am not generally a reader of fiction, and when I read anything like this genre, it tends to be true crime. I am a fan of Ann Rule. But I must say that discovering Sylvia Nobel has resulted in a wonderful expansion of my "reading diet." Her ability to tell a story creates a page-turner, and I am a person that always found truth to be better than fiction, as far as grabbing my attention was concerned. I live in Arizona and enjoy this author's settings. They really capture the flavor of this state's many facets. This is the second book of hers that I've read and really enjoyed. I fully intend to read all of her other works.I really like Kendall O'Dell, especially as her character develops through each book. There is a bit of the romance writer's touch in Ms. Nobel's series, and it adds a nice touch. I'm a guy and I don't usually read romance novels, but these works have a refreshing balance. If you want to treat yourself to a first-rate mystery that is well written and thoroughly exciting, I heartily recommend this book to you.

The Devil's Cradle is so well written that you do not want to put it down. You just have to find out what happens next and house work and everything else just has to wait! I love the fact that I have visited many of the places in Arizona that she writes about in her stories. After reading her first two books, I immediately went on line and ordered the next three. Can't wait for the next one to be published!!

Five stars is not enough to rate this top notch book. It was a page turner to say the very least and most enjoyable! Very, very clever and witty. Couldn't put it down! I'd say it's a good thing I have found this brilliant author because Sue Grafton is running out of letters.
