5 Angels, Fallen Angel Recommended Read: "Devil's Pact is the kind of book for people like me who enjoy reading about an overly aggressive testosterone filled man in love. Devin is not a gentleman; he's crude, kind of mean but the same passion he uses when killing is exactly what he brings to the bedroom. Samantha Cruise's historical feast was more than just a well developed story with guns, danger, mayhem and delicious wickedness. Devil's Pact was a story that sucked me into the emotional upheaval of the characters. I was right there during the orgasmic interludes that left me sweating and anxious for more. I was with them as they attempted with their bodies to say what each found so hard to say with words. I can't say enough how much I actually loved this book, all 497 pages of it. A story that had me on the hook from the first encounter with Meg to the final culmination when finally a decision was made on if Devin and Megan could make it, if their passion was more than rabid frenzy lust but something life altering something meant to be forever. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have passed over this book. It just did not look that interesting and it seemed like this was the one and only book written by Samantha Cruise so it cannot be that good, can it?

Boy was I ever wrong! This is the most eroctic, most sensual, most passionate, most sexiest, hottest, steamiest, most graphic book I have ever read. Did I say hot, did I say sexy, did I say extremely eroctic, then let me repeat myself again! I am not sure if Samantha Cruise has written any other books and to date I have not been able to find any but I hope she writes more books. This book was so hot that made I left my husband a very happy man! I would highly recommend this book! Great Job Ms. Cruise!

You are not going to want to be interrupted for one flat second while reading this one! This one is full of two sweltering hot men and the little lady who loved them!

My level of expectation for this type of book tends to be on the high side of tolerant - I'm willing to forgive some minor things if the heat is hot enough (*wink*). What a surprise then to be shocked when I found a really great story filled with interesting multi-dimensional characters. This one has it all - lawmen and outlaws, cowboys and ranchers, doctors and rich folk, even Indian captives - and YES a PLOT! Whoa Nellie!

Devin is a man to die for - hot alpha male all the way. But that's not all he is. Caleb was also a shocker (it's always the quiet ones that give an outward appearance of propriety that will shock your socks off!). And Meg - well boy howdy did she develop in this novel.

I can't remember that last time I really got so invested in a relationship that I was talking to my Kindle. I may be old but I ain't crazy. This is like a blockbuster movie by some A list director - completely worth the dollar's to check out. Fantastic! I want more!

I really enjoyed reading this rather long story. Never have I been so pulled into the characters and the plot surrounding them, that I couldn't wait to steal away five minutes to read a few more pages. The author's descriptions of the living conditions and of the era provided enough detail without being mundane and boring.

The chemistry between the three main characters was palpable and completely believable. That said, the sex scenes are extremely explicit, prolonged and steamy. There are scenes of bondage, S&M, menage a trois and love making...certainly not for the faint of heart or those who do not enjoy reading about such scenes.

This is mainly what I would consider "trash" reading...but I have to say that this is one of the finest examples of trash reading there is with a well woven story of love intermingled. I would love it if the author wrote a sequel...don't want to give away the ending but I'd love to read more ;-)
