Editorial Reviews

Jai Silk Rappages September 1995

"Sham and The Professor deliver a solid underground entry with an easy flowing track and thoughtful lyrics.

Product Description

The Devil's Playground is the product of Keith "Sham" Gill and Sean "The Professor Elesse" Skolnick. It uses hard beats, hooks and lyrics to transcend into a journey through the life and times of Coney Island without the glitz and glamour of the Oceanside. From the melodic chimes of "Coney Violinz," to the verbal usage of the alphabet in "Walking Dictionary," the Devil's Playground is a hard-hitting hip-hop album with a fresh old school flare. It is what hip-hop once was, story telling at its finest.

This review is from: The Devil's Playground (Audio CD)
After several years in hiatus, Sham & the Professor have made the most ultimate album to date. This latest album will no doubt pass their last one, "Split Personalities", by light-years. A much clearer sound, and the most sensational beats to date. These boys from Coney Island have really outdone themselves. Most recommened(and funkiest) tracks are: "Freakshow, Under The Boardwalk, Raise The Roof, Roar, and Walking Dictionary."

This cd is a must for all "hip-hop junkies".
