1.0 out of 5 stars Repackaging of "The Debasement Tapes" - NOT endorsed by 45 Grave, June 6, 2008

45 Grave has nothing to do with this release; it's yet another repacking of "The Debasement Tapes" by Cleopatra Records, the once-cool but now joke label of goth/industrial/punk subculture. In fact, Dinah Cancer recently posted this blog from her Myspace page on June 6: (myspace,com/dinahcancer)

"A number of you have been writing about the Devil's Posessions.

No, that is not the new album.

That is the debasement tapes on vinyl.

I don't list the debasement tapes on my page because I never agreed to it.

nor do I like it. Anything that I stand behind is listed on my website or here.

I like to put out quaility stuff.

And not waste your time."

The sound varies from low demo-tape quality to really poor live bootleg - like it was recorded outside of the club during one of their gigs. Unless you're an absolute completist, it's not an essential release at all.

2.0 out of 5 stars De basing!, April 7, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Devil's Possessions (Audio CD)
If you have "The Debasement tapes" you already know what you're getting because it's the same f***in' CD with a different cover and two listed alternative versions of "Evil" and "Party Time". If you don't have TDB and get this (because the cover is cooler), be sure to skip the "songs" that were recorded (Poorly) in Dinah Cancer's aunt's garage;read the liner notes by Don Bolles to see which ones these are. I only gave this two stars because:A.)ITS 45 GRAVE!!! and B.) the two (studio) alternatives are good. 45 Grave is definately debasing theirselves by pulling this stunt, so don't debase yourself by buying it!
