These books are already getting tired, hence the need to bring on two new characters. These books used to be fun, but now they are just annoying. Callie is a horrible person, yet we are supposed to think she is cool and fun and relate to her. She is selfish, using Brandon, messing up his good relationship with a girl who finally appreciates him, then dumps him because her last boyfriend she dumped comes back, and she wants him yet again.

The other thing that irritates me about this book is the way the guys are treated. If gives the impression that girls should only date guys who treat them like garbage. Why do Brandon and Julian get dumped on all of the time?

Brett is a psycho, reading her boyfriends phone log, and he still takes her back? She treated her other boyfriend like garbage too, yet if he wasn't perfect, or had sex before she did, she flips out! I want to smack her all the time.

I also think it's totally laughable that Isaac thinks Jenny is so deep and "different" from all the other girls. Um, she has less money, and that's it. She is also a huge snob (her treatment of Yvonne Stidder) and is obsessed with clothes and fitting in with the "cool girls". Why else would she want to have a party? She wants the clothes, the cash and all that. But, what, because she can draw she is so much better then the other girls?

Needless to say, this will be the last book of the series for me.

The students at Waverly have returned to campus after Christmas break. It's the start of what is known as "Jan Plan." The students get a month to work on group or individual projects. There are no other classes to worry about, so it will pretty much be a month-long party.

When the students report to the Chapel for their welcome back speech, they are stunned to find that Dean Marymount is gone. In his place is a young and apparently hip Dean Dresden. What's more, the Dean has brought his two gorgeous teenagers, Isaac and Isla, with him.

As you can imagine, there will be all sorts of hijinks going on at Waverly. Jenny encounters Isaac when she tries to convince the new dean to allow her to work on her art project alone. There's been a policy that sophomores have to work in groups, but Jenny's idea is a solo one. Tinsley teams up with Isla for a crazy photography project. And Callie finds herself unexpectedly working with her old boyfriend, the needy Brandon, on, of all things, a psychology love experiment.

Some of the people aren't what they seem, and as a raucous party at the Dean's house grows out of control, true colors will be shown.

DEVIOUS was definitely a more lighthearted piece of the IT GIRL puzzle. Without classes thrown into the mix, the students of Waverly can cause more havoc and get into way deeper trouble. I probably enjoyed this one even more because it was really different from the other books in the series.

Reading any of the IT GIRL novels is as sinful as sitting down and watching "Gossip Girl" or "90210," only better....the book lasts longer.

good book. bought it on the kindle. interesting. definitely read the series. good teen girl book that will keep you interested in this as well as the entire series.

The moment I got the book in the mail, I began to read it and I finished the book that same day. Once I got done with the book, I was looking up the next book on Amazon! Every book in this series just makes you want to read more. This book to me was personally the best because towards the end, there's a huge surprise, that I myself was not even expecting!! It's a must buy book.

Although it seemed shorter than the other books in the series, it was definately a page-turner thanks to the new blood von Ziegesar has brought in the book. Isaac and Isla are basically what makes this book refreshing and not more of the same. There's even a twist at the end, which personally i didnt see coming. However, even with new characters, a 10 book maximum is perfect for this series without turning it into overkill.

I did read this book to the end, but I enjoyed only some parts of it. While the characters all have problems and flaws, as any good characters should have, they tend to be very... well, bitchy. Like Callie, for example. She gets all the guys, but she's a crazy manipulator and was ready to dump good-guy Brandon just because her old boyfriend came back. Yes, Blair from the original Gossip Girl would have done exactly that, but it would actually be fun to read about. What this series is lacking, I suppose, is the juiciness that Gossip Girl had so much of. The It Girl series isn't nearly as fun to read as its preceding series. And the good girl, Jenny, is... just boring to read about sometimes.

The book itself is well written, grammatically, but the characters have some serious issues. And not the kind of issues you couldn't stop reading about in Gossip Girl.

It was a very good book, the new characters, Isla&Isaac are great! And Easy is baaaack!
But the cuest are Bree&Seb!Definitely worth getting a copy!

It's a new semester at Waverly Academy and there's two new kids. All the girls are pratically drooling over the boy while his sister isn't happy about this at all. Watch out girls because this girl is very mean.
