DEVIOUS MAIDS 30310 -- The Show May Be Set In 90210, But The Action Is Far From Beverly Hills, CA. Come Along As The Filmmakers And Cast Share Some Of Their Favorite Things About Shooting The Series On Location In Atlanta, GA.

Editorial Reviews

Sex. Lies. Murder...It's all in a day's work. From Executive Producer Marc Cherry, creator of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, comes DEVIOUS MAIDS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON. Meet five women bonded together by their jobs, their dreams and the dirt they sweep under the rug: Aspiring singer Carmen; Rosie, who longs to be reunited with the child she left back in Mexico; Marisol, whose outward identity masks a desperate hidden agenda; and Zoila and her daughter Valentina -- both employed by the delightfully unhinged Genevieve Delatour (Susan Lucci). Before the season is over, illicit affairs will be revealed and depraved secrets exposed, as we learn the sordid details behind a shocking murder. Start your collection with all 13 addictive episodes on three discs -- plus "sin-tillating" bonus features -- and relive the intrigue as murder, mystery and mayhem collide amongst the mansions of Beverly Hills!

I am very picky about the shows I watch because most of them are just recycled plots from other shows but not Devious Maids. I have watched every episode and I find myself grinning like an idiot because of the characters sharp wit and I honestly can't pick a favorite maid because I love them all so much. If you are hesitant to watch I promise you won't be disappointed - I'm going to get it on DVD to add to my collection of awesome TV shows. It has earned a place with Weeds, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and American Horror Story.

What an unexpected gem of a summer comedy. These women know how to act, deliver lines and wear clothes. I can't wait to watch Devious Maids each Sunday night!

I have to say the show is a lot more than what I expected it to be. Each episode has a new twist to keep you on your toes. I cant wait for the next episode to air because I enjoy every single episode. There is a sophisticated change in story line that makes you want to keep watching because you have to know what happens in the next episode and how they get more clues that throw everything off to a whole other level. Very impressed by both the producers and the actors in this series.

I have to admit, I liked this show even though it reminded me of desperate housewives which I ultimately despised. The series follows the lives of 4 Latino maids, each one of them works for a rich employee in Beverly hills, usually a celebrity or some sort of social persona. But polishing and sucking up to their bosses isnt the only thing these maids have to deal with from day to day bases. They all have secrets, schemes and hidden agendas. There are many twists and turns that the viewer gets exposed to which are believable and adds more flavor to the show.

At first I was skeptical, cause I thought the writers and the producers would go for the classic (poor and kind vs. rich and evil) concept especially when it comes to the nature of the relationship between the maids and their bosses. I was afraid we would get the b""Chy employer who's impossible to deal with and the saint employer the cinderella story anyone? But that's not the case entirely which makes the series divert and fresh. We get the classic Cinderella case with some characters but the maids although partial victims are also not so innocent and have their own personal plans and tricks up their sleeves. I really liked that for a change.

This is much like desperate housewives in that not everything is what it might seem to be in happy luxerious beverly hills and ironically the pilot episodes opens up with a maid's mysterious murder. And slowly by slowly the truth unfolds. The producer here challenges the same idea he did previously with desperate housewives. Perfect things aren't perfect, sometimes we have to dig deeper to get the truth, superficial happiness etc.. It's basically the same moral the same sub plot line? But I liked this version better for some unknown reason it just appeals to me.

This has all of the delicious humorous cunning of Desperate Housewives! Can't wait for each episode. These Maids are very smart! I like the plots and subplots. And that very long time soap opera star, Susan Lucci, who was such a bad conniving lady on All My Children, is now such a generous loving nice lady in this show, at least for this season so far. This show is an addicting winner.

This is another great Marc Cherry Show! If you were a Desperate Housewives fan, you will enjoy this show. Just like DH was... funny, yet serious, happy, yet sad. Also a good who done it? Endings leave you hanging, craving the next episode. I highly recommend DH fans, women or men who enjoy guilty pleasures and women and men who like shows with all emoions. Not to mention, the sexy maids..
