This is the riveting second book in what I hope is a series. The unique character development and action packed plot build on the first book as the conflict on Niburu comes to a head. If you are captivated by Sci-Fi, this author caters to your imagination as very few can. You'll be tempted to read The Devolution Chronicles in one sitting as a result of the engaging presentation of life on the edge in a hostile environment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read it, loves it, May 6, 2011
This review is from: The Devolution Chronicles: Rise of the Chimera (Kindle Edition)
This book contains many elements and twists. Not to mention that it is based on a real planet that will be visiting our area next year. It has excitement, love, war, murder, humor, playfulness, cool space stuff, artificial intelligence units that can feel and joke, intrigue, nasty aliens, theories about past earth mysteries, on and on. I loved reading this book. I couldn't put it down. Each time you think you know what will happen it surprises you. Great story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Entertaining non-stop action, May 5, 2011

This review is from: The Devolution Chronicles: Rise of the Chimera (Kindle Edition)
Wow, the action in this second book of "The Devolution Chronicles" series is literally non-stop, yet the author managed to incorporate humor and character development that keeps it really entertaining. Also includes tons of sly references to everything from military history to classic movies, and intriguing scientific details relating to futuristic weapons, time travel and evolution, or in this case, "devolution". I think it stands on its own as an entertaining read but is best if read after "Passage to Niburu".

More About the Author

Gary Wayne Clark is an engineer by training, a venture capitalist by trade, but a storyteller at heart. In the course of his research, deep in the basement of a university biotech lab, he spliced together genes and created artificial life. Life that nature never intended, life not governed by the laws of evolution, and life that's determined to survive at any cost.

And it was that exact moment that would become the genesis of his first novel "The Devolution Chronicles: Passage to Niburu." Standing there, looking down at his mutated creation, he asked himself - what if man's technological arrogance to play God resulted in his own destruction? What would it mean for the future of mankind?

It would mean an intrepid journey, to another dimension, to another world... and I invite you to come along for the ride.
