5.0 out of 5 stars Devon, December 9, 1999

This is by far the freshest take on Folk/Rock I have heard in a while. When I checked out devonmusic.com and found out the this girl is only 17, I was hooked! The scary thing is that her talent is just starting to take off. Hysterically, is my pic for the teen anthem of the new millenium.

This CD is the first disc I listen to when I wake up every morning. Her combination of powerful, experience driven lyrics and innovative guitar style and sound left me wanting more. Can't wait until her next album comes out. I'm waiting!

Devon's music is rich and deep, amazing that it was done by someone so young in years. If you ever have a chance to see her live don't miss it! This women will make her mark on the music scene.

Devon's got a way of combining hearfelt lyrical work with folksy, loving guitar work. Stefan, Dave Matthew's bass player, plays bass on this record. Great tunes, beautiful lyrics, wonderful record.

I first heard of Devon when I saw her performing sidestage for the Dave Matthews Band. She is incredible!! I bought her CD then and there and have been hooked ever since. If you like Ani you will love Devon!

My favorite songs on this album are "Rain Song" "Montreal Waltz" and "Generic Love Song". All of which I think show her vocal talents and songwriting ability. I can never get these songs out my head they're so good. I met Devon Sproule and she is a wonderful woman with a gorgeous voice.
I adore this album.
