More About the Author
Arlene Rains Graber is a freelance writer in Wichita, Kansas. Her writing career spans more than twenty-five years with articles, essays, and devotionals published in numerous newspapers, magazines and periodicals. Some include: the Wichita Eagle, Territorial Magazine, Kansas magazine!, Kansas Traveler, Transport Topics, The Wichita Business Journal, Small Farmers Journal, Country Register, East Wichita News, The Lookout, Standard,Mature Living, and Chicken Soup for the Soul.
In addition, her first devotional book, Devoted to Traveling, was released February 16, 2010, by AWOC Publishers. She has won numerous awards for memoirs and non-fiction articles including Writer of the Year, and Article of the Year from East Wichita News, First Place for poetry in the OWFI contest, and her novel, A Plane Tree in Provence won First Place in the 2011 Kansas Author Club contest.
In 2011 A Plane in Provence, and Angel on My Shoulder were released as ebooks through Amazon.com and Smashwords.com.
She earned a college degree at the University of Memphis, is an avid scrapbooker, a graduate of Bible Study Fellowship, the proud grandmother of two boys, and has worked in the travel industry for more than two decades. She is currently working on a sequel to the France novel,and is a member of two online critique groups.
Arlene is a member of the Oklahoma Writers Federation Inc, Kansas Writers Association, Kansas Authors Club, American Christian Fiction Writers, and the Heartland of America Christian Writers Network. She has attended Eastminster Presbyterian Church for over thirty years.
