This debut album is a soothing collection of solo piano pieces composed from Delgado's devotional and quiet time. The pieces are all very subdued in nature, so the album plays with a consistent tone, tempo, and mood throughout. One reviewer said that this music was not for the intellectual musician, but more for the average listener who wants to hear exceptionally pretty music. Perhaps (as a piano teacher and frequent reviewer) that's why I find some of the music a bit too simplistic. It is definitely heartfelt, but most of the pieces are played in the mid-range of the piano, and there isn't much to really distinguish one piece from another. For music that is to be played as a backdrop to devotions or meditation or even a quiet dinner, these qualities could be a plus. I tend to listen to music very actively, so this CD didn't hold my interest as long as I would have liked. The emotions and sincerity communicate very clearly, so there is definite potential for some great music down the road. On the other hand, there is a very large audience for simple, heartfelt, pretty piano music, so Delgado may do just fine as is!

This music calms me at the end of a hard day. I often listen while I read my own devotions and biblical studies. I look forward to future recordings.

"Devotion" is a CD that you can listen to after putting in a hard day at work. It's soothing and relaxing! You can feel the emotions that the artist was trying to convey, without using any words. It's a GREAT CD for anyone who enjoys and appreciates instrumental piano music!! Try it--and you won't regret it!

Delgado was my band teacher for 2 years and this is not a lie. I remember how devoted he was to teaching us and much he wanted us to succeed. One day at a pizza party he started playing a song from his album for us is was so beautiful I wanted to cry. If you don't believe me, fine, but at White Sands in New Mexico he was the best teacher I had ever experienced

This is a CD for anyone who enjoys their time with GOD! It is one of the most relaxing Cd's I have ever heard. I even use his music while I am surfing on the Internet...it's like having a slice of Heaven with you! When my mother told me about this CD, I knew I had to have it .... and I can honestly say that it is now my favorite! Thanks DAVID and I can't wait for your next one!!!

This CD is a great listen - for all ages. Soothing piano with a great deal of underlying emotion. This is a must-have.

David is the piano player at our church. His love for God shows through the music he writes. Everything I have heard of is his absolutely amazing. If you have never heard his music, you are missing out. His music has brought me to tears several times because I know it comes from his heart and it weighs on mine. Buy his music if you get a chance!
