Release The Laserdisc Version On DVD PLEASE?!!!!!!!!!!, July 21, 2001
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Being that I went to 2 Devotional concerts, this video really measures up to just how great they were.
To those who don't know, the laserdisc version of Devotional includes 4 additional songs (Behind The Wheel, Mercy In You, Fly On The Windscreen, & Everything Counts), but even with those songs added, the film is still 3 songs shy of a complete concert (Policy Of Truth & Halo are missing and Death's Door is only present during the end credits, when it actually was performed right after Judas). I sometimes wonder why Devotional was not released in Compact Disc form? Instead what we got was Songs Of Faith & Devotion LIVE, which just gives us live versions of all the songs from SOFAD and nothing else.
To Warner Brothers, please release this masterpiece on DVD, as well as all the other DM films. Fans are hungry for better picture and sound quality, and considering that depeche mode are more popular than ever, now is the perfect time to make these DVD versions available to us.
Stay Devoted!

One of the decade's best rock tours, captured on video., September 28, 1999
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video captures Depeche Mode at their creative peak, as they embarked on the 15-month, 150-show Devotional Tour. The tour started brilliantly in Europe and steamrollered through the USA, selling out nearly every venue...but at the end of the monster outing, the band was exhausted, drugged out, and ready to call it a day. Fortunately, Anton Corbijn caught a few of the tour's early performances on film. No one who saw the Devotional Tour will ever forget it: Corbijn's stunning visuals, Dave's unabashed rock-star antics, Alan's thunderous drumming, and Martin's bluesy guitar riffs. It was the best moment in the band's long and compelling career.

Amazing !, June 13, 2000
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the best concert you'll see and hear, believe me... I've seen many DM concerts in video, but when I saw "Devotional" my mind simply exploted...I had the concert in CD already but the Anton's vision shows the amazing performance like something sacred. You will suffer with Dave with "Condemnation", fly with "Never let me down again" and suffer once again with "In your room". If you're a DM fan, this video will be a trasure in your collection...if you're not, then this is a good reason to be.
